Queen Letizia arrived in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on Tuesday for a 3-day Spanish Cooperation trip to the Northwest African country.
Upon her arrival at Nouakchott International Airport, Her Majesty was received by the First Lady of Mauritania, Her Excellency Mariem Fadel Dah Following the welcoming ceremony, a brief meeting was held in the presidential pavilion with the authorities who received her.
During the trip, Queen Letizia will learn about the work that the Spanish Cooperation is carrying out in the areas of health, governance and gender equality, rural development and food security. This is the seventh cooperation trip for Her Majesty since becoming Queen consort in 2014. Previous trips include; Honduras and El Salvador (2015), Senegal (2017), Dominican Republic and Haiti (2018), Mozambique (2019), Honduras (2020), and Paraguay (2021).

The King and Queen of Spain hosted a luncheon on Monday at the Royal Palace in Madrid to mark the 40th anniversary of Spain's entry into NATO.
Prior to the lunch, King Felipe presided over the official ceremony at the Royal Theater in Madrid. The lunch was attended by several authorities such as the President of the Government Pedro Sánchez, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
There are limited photos from the luncheon, but we can see that Queen Letizia wore her dusty pink Felipe Varela Chantilly lace midi dress. She debuted the bespoke garment for the 2018 National Day celebrations (shown below).
It appears she may have wore her diamond and citrine drop earrings.
The King and Queen of Spain marked Armed Forces Day with events at Juan XXIII Avenue in Huesca.
The annual occasion honours men and women who serve/served in the Spanish armed forces.

Queen Letizia visited Buen Retiro Park on Friday for the launch of the 81st edition of the Madrid Book Fair.
The annual event aims to promote books, reading and organizations involved in the publishing, distribution or retail of books.

Queen Letizia chaired a preparatory meeting at Zarzuela Palace for the cooperation trip she will make to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania from May 31 to June 2.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Pilar Cancela Rodríguez; the director of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation-AECID, Antón Leis García and the director of Cooperation with Africa and Asia, Carmen Magariños Casal.

Queen Letizia presided over the opening session of the "Women's Bridges. Proposals from the South for global change" conference organized by the Women for Africa Foundation.
The conference was a commemorative event marking the 10th anniversary of the Women for Africa Foundation, held at the UNED Humanities Building in Madrid.

The King and Queen of Spain hosted a gala dinner on Tuesday evening in honour of the Emir of Qatar and his wife, who are on a two day State Visit to Spain, at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
In the Throne Room, they received greetings from the attending Spanish and Qatari authorities and guests before moving onto the Gala dining room for the banquet.
Queen Letizia debuted an embroidered gown by Argentinean fashion designer, embroidered gown by Argentinean fashion designer, Gabriel Lage.
A champagne embroidered lace overlays a tonal lining, and the silhouette features a bateau neckline, sheer long bell sleeves, and a train.
Surprising, there was no tiara tonight, but Her Majesty did wear the Commander dame's bow of the Order of Charles III.
She topped of the look with a new pair of diamond chandelier earrings. The are reportedly a gift from the Emir, and feature a mix of marquise, round, and pear shaped diamond stones.
The King and Queen of Spain welcomed Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and his wife, Sheikha Cevahir bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Sani with an official ceremony at the Royal Palace in Madrid, on Tuesday.
The Emir of Qatar is on a two day State Visit to Spain.
Following the ceremony, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a luncheon for their guests of honour at the Palace of Zarzuela.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain visited Pinofranqueado on the occasion of the centenary of King Alfonso XIII's visit to the Las Hurdes region.
His Majesty King Alfonso XIII toured a good number of municipalities and farmhouses between 20 and 24 June 1922, accompanied by authorities and relevant names of the time, such as Dr. Gregorio Marañón. That expedition had a wide echo in the national press of the time and was the trigger for a series of measures aimed at improving health care in the region.

The Queen of Spain attended the "World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day" event at the Oceanografic in Valencia on Tuesday.
The occasion serves to acknowledge the contribution of Red Cross/Crescent staff and volunteers, who save lives and assist vulnerable communities around the world. During the event, Queen Letizia delivered the 2022 Spanish Red Cross Gold Medals.
