King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, accompanied by their eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, visited Cadavéu on their final day in the Principality of Asturias to present the Exemplary Town of Asturias Award to the parish.
Unfortunately, Infanta Sofia was unable to attend as she was unwell, and Princess Leonor left halfway through the visit as she too began to feel sick. The King and Queen presented the award and Queen Letizia read the speech Princess Leonor had prepared.
Their Majesties continued the tour of important town landmarks and greeted locals along the way.

The King and Queen of Spain, accompanied by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, began their second day in Oviedo at the Reconquista Hotel ahead of this evening's Princess of Asturias Awards Ceremony.
They first held an audience with the winners of the 'End of Career 2021' awards from the University of Oviedo.
Later they meet those awarded the "Medallas de Asturias 2022"
The Spanish Royal Family then move to Covadonga Hall where they received the 2022 Princess of Asturias Laureates.

The King and Queen of Spain accompanied by their daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, presided over the 2022 Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony held at the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo.
Upon arrival they followed the tradition of walking the blue carpet with Queen Sofia.
The Awards recognize the scientific, technical, cultural, social and humanitarian work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions or groups of individuals or institutions. They are granted in eight categories: the Arts, Literature, Social Sciences, Communication and Humanities, Technical and Scientific Research, International Cooperation, Concord and Sports.
16-year-old Leonor, Princess of Asturias addressed the attendees during the awards ceremony which bears her title.
This event is one of the most anticipated on the Spanish royal calendar and we are always excited to see what Her Majesty will premier for this annual gala.
Tonight, she opted for a black & white short-sleeve dress by Carolina Herrera. The silk dress features a long wrap-front skirt and a contrasting embellished yoke. The cocktail dress was part of the designer's Fall 2018 collection.
On her feet were her Isabel Abdó 'Carrie' Slingback Pumps in Black Suede.
She accessorized with her Qatari diamond chandelier earrings which were a gift from the Emir of Qatar and his wife.

The Spanish royal family have travelled to Ovedia this week for the annual Princess of Asturias Awards.
On the eve of the Awards Ceremony, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, accompanied by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía attended the XXX Princess of Asturias Award Concert at the Príncipe Felipe Auditorium.

The King and Queen of Spain presided over the premiere of the opera “Aída” by Giuseppe Verdi, on the occasion of the inauguration of the 2022/2023 opera season at the Teatro Real (Royal Theatre) in Madrid on Monday evening.
Their Majesties watched the performance from the Royal Box.
After the performance, King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with directors and artists of the 'Aida' opera.

The King and Queen of Spain started the final day of their State Visit to Germany at the Frankfurt Book Fair, where Spain is this year's guest of honour.
They meet with Spanish exhibitors as the toured the book fair.
Afterward, while King Felipe VI visited the European Central Bank headquarters, Queen Letizia went to the Cervantes Institute to attend a meeting with German hispanists.
King Felipe then joined Queen Letizia at the Cervantes Institute before departing from Frankfurt Airport at the conclusion of their State Visit.

The King and Queen of Spain began the third day of their State Visit to Germany with solo engagements. Queen Letizia was joined by the First Lady, Elke Büdenbender for a visit to the PalaisPopulaire in Berlin to check out a Spanish art exhibition.
The PalaisPopulaire, in collaboration with the Helga de Alvear Museum and the Embassy of Spain, is currently hosting the exhibition "Writing all their names" which brings together works by women artists from the Helga de Alvear Museum Collection to give visibility to the Spanish female avant-garde from 1960 to today.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia reunited for a tour of City Hall in the German capital.
Their final stop in Berlin was the iconic Brandenburg Gate.

The King and Queen of Spain are currently on a four-day State visit to Germany. They arrived in Berlin yesterday afternoon, and this morning Their Majesties were officially welcomed at Bellevue Palace by the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Büdenbender.
Following the formalities, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia visited to the Neue Wache building, home to the Central Memorial of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Victims of War and Tyranny. They made a floral tribute and paid their respects with a minute of silence.
Queen Letizia wore a peacock blue dress by Carolina Herrera.
This is the first occasion we have seen Queen Letizia wear this dress which featured almost 10 years ago on the designer's Fall 2013 runway.
It is characterized by a keyhole neckline with a modified mandarin collar, and ruched shoulders with embellishments. The wide inset waist has a folded effect, and the skirt has a trumpet flare. The dress was shown without the shoulder embellishments in the Fall 2013 Lookbook.
The coordinating suede pumps and top-handle bag are by Magrit.

Later in the day, King Felipe and Queen Letizia will attend a State Dinner offered in their honor.
