Queen Letizia attended the final match of the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup on Sunday between the USA and Australia. She traveled to the island of Tenerife, in Spain’s Canary Islands for the tournament and delivered the trophy to the winning American team.
Prior the match, Her Majesty watched Spain defeat Belgium for the bronze medal of the Championship.

The Queen of Spain visited the CIFP Son Llebre school in Marratxí on Thursday to officially open the Vocational Training courses for the 2018/2019 academic year. She wore a nautical inspried look for her vsiit to the Balearic Island of Majorca.

The Queen of Spain was busy on Wednesday with a day of public engagements. Her Majesty first received in audience The Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation who are collaborating with the Museo del Prado to establish a viceregal art commission.
Later in the day Queen Letizia attended the 30th anniversary of the entry of women in the Civil Guard, and the 25th anniversary of the entry of the first woman into the General Military Academy as Officer of the Corps.

Queen Letizia attended a ceremony for World Cancer Research Day today where she presented the 'V de Vida' AECC 2018 Cancer Research Grants in her role as honorary president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).

The King and Queen of Spain visited the University of Salamanca today to mark the 30th anniversary of the Magna Charta Universitatum.
It is a document to celebrate university traditions and encourage bonds among European universities but it also serves as a universal inspiration and is open to universities throughout the world. It was founded by the University of Bologna in Italy and the European Rectors' Conference in 1988 and has been signed by 805 universities from 85 countries.

The Queen of Spain marked the start of the school year today with a visit to the Baudilio Arce school in her hometown of Oviedo.
She received a warm welcome from the young school children and Her Majesty reciprocated the delight.
As a mother, Queen Letizia looked right at home among the school children, and she displayed her natural affection toward to the pupils.

The Spanish princesses commenced the school year today and were accompanied by their parents King Felipe and Queen Letizia on their way to the Santa Maria de los Rosales college.
Her Majesty chose a low-key outfit for the school run.

The Spanish royal family enjoyed a day out in Asturias on Saturday to mark three milestone anniversaries centered around Covadonga and its vicinity; that of the 13th centenary of the origins of the Kingdom of Asturias, the Centenary of the Catholic Coronation of the Virgin of Covadonga, and the 100 year anniversary of the establishment of the Montaña de Covadonga National Park.
