King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia presided over a literary event held at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid to commemorate the centenary of the Casa del Libro. The first Casa del Libro was established on Madrid's Gran Vía in April 1923 and currently operates 54 bookstores across Spain.
Following the centenary ceremony, Their Majesties visited the exhibition "100 years of Casa del Libro history", which showcases a chronology of the establishment with a selection of objects and best-selling books over the past century.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia traveled to Cádiz on Monday to participate in events associated with the IX International Congress of Spanish Language (CILE). CILE is held every three years in Hispanic countries and serves as a global platform for reflection on the heritage and preservation of the Spanish language.
Upon arrival in the port city, Their Majesties headed to the Gran Teatro Falla for the inauguration ceremony. They first stopped to greet the crowds that had gathered to see them.
Afterwards, the King and Queen of Spain visited the Casa de Iberoamérica which is hosting exhibitions ranging from Peruvian literature to contemporary art as part of the CILE program.

After the day's events related to the IX International Congress of Spanish Language (CILE), King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attended the "Tempo de Luz" concert in the evening at the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz.
It was jointly organized by the Cervantes Institute and the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development to mark the inauguration of the Congress. Upon arrival at the theatre, Their Majesties joined a cajoneada to commemorate the origin of the flamenco cajón.
The concert showcased the performances of several artists, including Carmen Linares, Marina Heredia, 'Arcángel,' and the Cádiz flamenco dance company. King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with the performers backstage following the concert.

As part of the events commemorating the 500th anniversary of the passing of Elio Antonio de Nebrija, Queen Letizia attended the "Nebrija" exhibition at the National Library of Spain (Biblioteca Nacional de España) in Madrid.
According to Wikipedia, "Antonio de Nebrija was the most influential Spanish humanist of his era. He wrote poetry, commented on literary works, and encouraged the study of classical languages and literature, but his most important contributions were in the fields of grammar and lexicography." The exhibition brings together more than one hundred of his works.
