King Felipe and Queen Letizia opened the 38th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) in Madrid today. The 5 day event will bring together more than 9,000 companies from 165 countries with 200,000 visitors.
Their Majesties toured the halls and met with some of the exhibitors of the fair.
Sartorially speaking, Letizia usually plays it safe for this annual event, however last year she upped the style stakes and sported a new chic contemporary look. This year it was back to her usual polished look for the business fair.
Letizia teamed her Hugo Boss 'Jadabia' color block short coat with a new white blouse.
It is the BOSS 'Benisa' Piped Blouse featuring pajama-inspired piping and a chest pocket. This elegant button-down is tailored from fluid Japanese crepe. Originally retailing for US$375 it has been marked down at these leading retailers: Hugo Boss ($183.99), Saks Fifth Avenue ($168.75), Nordstrom ($224.98).
The highlight of the ensemble was on her feet!
Her Majesty added a touch of 'punk' to the look with a new pair of Uterque studded high heel court shoes (£120.00 - sold out). The pumps are made from sheepskin leather and feature gold studs and crossed straps with pearl bead details. The have buckled ankle straps for fastening, caprine leather lining and insoles, and finished with a 5cm kitten heel. The design is inspired by Gucci's 'Unia' pumps.
Letizia finished the look with her gold Mango horn shaped earrings, complementing the style of her shoes.
The Queen of Spain visited the Segundo de Chomón Secondary School in Teruel to officially open the Vocational Training courses for the 2017/2018 academic year.
She toured the school for a closer look at the courses on offer. She met teachers and students undertaking vocational training courses at the education centre.
Queen Letizia looked smart in a pair of check cigarette trousers and a pretty blouse as she arrived at the school in Spain's eastern Aragon region.
She debuted the Mango 'Kennedy' Prince of Wales suit trousers (US$59.99). The black check pants feature a zip and hook fastening, belt loops, twin side pockets, twin decorative welt pockets on the back and rolled-up hems. The style has sold out but Mango's check cotton trousers are a good alternative, or you can shop the current Prince of Wales collection offered by Mango.
Her Majesty refined the look with a soft white silk blouse featuring a pussy-bow neckline, pintucks on either side of the placket as well as cropped sleeves. It is reportedly by Carolina Herrera but I've been unbale to find it in their catalogue.
Letizia added a splash of colour with a red Zara laser cut leather crossbody bag (US$119) adorned with chunky silver chains.
On her feet she wore black suede pumps which look similar to the pair she debuted for an audience hearing in February. They remain unidentified but I suggested they could be by Nina Ricci because they have a similar silhouette as her navy suede Nina Ricci pumps. However, after analyzing the photo of the sole below I think it looks different to the Nina Ricci pumps shown on the right.
ID UPDATE (17 Oct 2017):
The eagle-eyed Núria Tiburcio identified the courts as Carolina Herrera based on the logo on the sole which appears to match the embossed detail on this pair of CH Carolina Herrera pumps.
Below is a stock photo of the black suede pumps by CH Carolina Herrera.
Letizia accessorized with her beloved TOUS cultured freshwater pearl drop earrings and surprised us with a new ring.
This is only the third occasion Her Majesty has worn a ring since becoming Queen consort in June 2014! The origin of the oversized ring with green stones is currently unknown.
The Spanish royal family invited the media to Marivent Palace today for the traditional photo session in the gardens of their summer residence on the island of Mallorca.
The family of four looked relaxed and casual as they posed for the cameras.
During the photocall the royal family greeted the media.
The annual summer portrait sitting at Marivent Palace was started by King Juan Carlos. Felipe has continued his father's tradition since his enthronement. Here's a look back at the photos from the past years since King Felipe's VI reign.
Queen Letizia looked youthful along side her beautiful daughters in a nautical-inspired outfit perfect for a beach-side vacation.
She wore white ankle-length trousers teamed with a new striped top by Mango.
It is the Spanish brand's 'Tulipa' striped knit top (US$49.99). The sleeveless design features ties on both sides and a scalloped hem. The white/black striped print is contrasted with a yellow yoke.
On her feet she wore a new pair of taupe RIA leather flat espadrille sandals. You may recall she owns a similar pair from the brand in sage green leather which she debuted for the summer photocall in 2015 (shown of the left).
Letizia finished the look with her Gold & Roses 'Milky Way' earrings (€319).
11 year old Princess Leonor looked radiant in a white Mango 'Alina' lace trim dress, while her younger sister, Infanta Sofia wore a pretty blue star print dress by Nanos.
Queen Letizia was in Aviles today - a town in the Princiilipty of Asturias, northern Spain. She met with the teachers and students participating in the "Toma La Palabra" cultural program for schools established by the Princess of Asturias Foundation.
The Spanish queen looked chic in a candy-cane inspired outfit.
The red sleeveless blouse is a new addition to her closet and is by CH Carolina Herrera. The fluid silk top has a pleated neckline, crew neck and key hole detail on the back.
Queen Letizia contrasted the top with her white crepe pants by Massimo Dutti.
On her feet she wore her red Mango perforated design sandals, and she offset the striking heels with her white Uterque croc-embossed clutch.
Letizia finished the look with her Yanes sunburst white gold and diamond earrings.
The King & Queen of Spain undertook their first public engagement of the New Year today.
Their Majesties presided over the traditional celebration of the Pascua Militar, which is deeply rooted in the Spanish military and dates back to 1782 during the reign of Carlos III. The ceremony is held annually on the day of Epiphany at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Following the parade, King Felipe and Queen Letizia made their way to the Throne Room within the Palace to meet officials from the Government, the Ministry of Defence and the Civil Guard.
It was a case of déjà vu in the fashion department for the Queen of Spain. Dressed in a customary full length dress, Queen Letizia wore the same teal green Felipe Varela gown she donned to the same event in 2015.
She also coordinated the look with the same tonal suede accessieres by Magrit.
Letizia did however change up the look with a beautiful braided up-do and her COOLOOK 'Sarin' earrings.
This is not the only occassion Letizia has opted to repeat a look she has previously worn to this event. In 2008 & 2009 she wore the same outfit consisting of a light sage jacket she debuted in 2005. In 2014 Letizia re-wore a blue ensemble she originally sported in 2012. Here's a look back at Letizia's past outfits for the Pascua Militar ceremony:

Later that afternoon, the Spanish royal family were pictured leaving Zarzuela Palace in a minivan en route to the home of Letizia's father for private celebrations marking the Feast of the Epiphany.
Her Majesty donned a new navy military-style jacket and TOUS gold long dangle earrings.
The velvet jacket is the Mango Military style coat (US$169.99).
Today Queen Letizia welcomed audiences at Zarzuela Palace, the official residence of the Spanish royal family.
Her first audience was with representatives of the Association of people affected by Ovarian Cancer.
Queen Letizia then held an audience with organizers of the project "Xldesafio. Education and future technology."
In the comfort of her home, the Queen of Spain ditched her signature tailored style and opted for a relaxed look.
She debuted the Hugo Boss BOSS 'Aminalia' trousers with side contrast stripes (£169). The straight-cut dark blue trousers have a distinctive sporty white stripe at the sides. Athletic detail in business-wear is on trend this season, and whilst it's not to everybody's taste, it's refreshing to see Letizia experimenting with a contemporary style.
Letizia teamed the track-inspired trousers with her relaxed navy Mango blouse.
The silk top dates back to July 2011 and she also owns this design in an olive green hue.
Queen Letizia styled the outfit with her Nina Ricci pointed toe pumps in navy suede.
Her wavy locks complimented the dressed-down ensemble, and Letizia added a touch of glamour to the casual look with her Mango faceted crystal earrings.

The Spanish royal family are now in Palma, Mallorca for their annual summer holiday. Tonight, the extended royal unit were photographed having dinner at Flanigan Restaurante. Here we see them leaving the waterfront establishment.
While most of the family was dressed casually, Queen Letizia opted for a more sophisticated evening style.
It's clear Her Majesty leaves behind a summer wardrobe at the Palma palace because for her first night on the island she wore a mix of pieces she debuted the last time she holidayed in Palma. Tonight Letizia combined her black silk pants with her sleeveless sequin top. Both garments remain unidentified.
On Letizia's feet were the bespoke Magrit sandals based on the 'Delia' model.
She supplemented the look with a new black flap clutch bag and gold-tone hoop earrings.
The earrings are by Mango and currently discounted to US$5.99!
It's difficult to ID the bag without the aid of better resolution photos. The silhouette is very similar to the one below by Carolina Herrera. But this design is very common so I'm not confident on the ID.
ID UPDATE (26/10/2016) - Queen Letizia carried the bag to a conference in Madrid and we have better photos that confirm the clutch is by CH Carolina Herrera. It is the 'Astrud' model from the designer's Spring 2015 'Samba' collection.
