France welcomed back the the King and Queen of Spain for a two-day state visit that was originally delayed because of the tragic Germanwings plane crash in the French Alps in March.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were officially welcomed by the French President, Francois Hollande at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
During the official welcome, Their Majesties visited the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arc de Triomphe, where King Felipe laid a wreath.
Following the welcome ceremony, President Hollande invited the the royal couple to Élysée Palace, the official residence of the Head of State.
For her arrival into Paris, Queen Letizia wore a bespoke ecru Felipe Varela silk two-piece set featuring a jacket with tonal macramé lace detailing on the sleeves and matching a-line skirt.
The ensemble was combined with her custom Felipe Varela 'Cartera Londres' clutch and a pair of snakeskin pumps.
It was initially thought the shoes were the Carolina Herrera python pumps which Letizia debuted last July.
However, on closer inspection you can see the snakeskin pattern is different, along with the heel shape. The pumps also feature a fine beige leather piping around the opening.
It appears they date back to at least 2011. Below we see them on Letizia's feet for a State luncheon in honor of the President of Ireland.
Her Majesty debuted a new pair of earrings. They are the Folli Follie 'Elements' rose gold double crystal drop earrings (US$95). These playful two-tiered stud drop earrings feature faceted champagne crystals set in rose gold plated metal.

For this occasion, Queen Letizia repeated the Carolina Herrera ensemble she debuted last month when she met the Italian president. The outfit consists of the Carolina Herrera Flower Fil Coupe Party Skirt (US$2490), a solid navy silk blouse, Carolina Herrera navy suede strap sandals and Felipe Varela flap clutch.
The outfit was topped off with her TOUS blue hydrothermal quartz and amber earrings.

For her third event of the day, Letizia made another wardrobe change, debuting a glamorous cocktail number from Felipe Varela. The heavily embellished dress in Bordeaux red is cut in a flattering fit-and-flare silhouette and illusion neckline.
On her feet were the LODI 'Debra' bordeux patent pumps.
Letizia carried a new black beaded box clutch, also by Felipe Varela.
I have been unable to find hi-res photos of the bag so it's difficult to know if this is bespoke or one of Verala's ready-to-wear peices, like the one shown below:
Queen Letizia completed the sophisticated evening look with smoky eye make-up and a glossy deep red pout, with her hair pulled into a low chignon, revealing a new pair of dazzling ruby and green amethyst earrings. The designer is currently unknown.
