Today, the King and Queen of Spain continued their relentless schedule in France. This morning their Majesties arrived at Paris City Hall to honour La Nueve, a company of 300 Spanish soldiers who fought as part of the French 2nd Armoured Division during World War II.

Their memory was commemorated with a brief ceremony to open the new Combattants de la Nueve Park outside City Hall.  Queen Letizia watched as King Felipe unveiled a commemorative plaque, helped by Paris mayor, Anne Hidalgo.

Queen Letizia looked refined and elegant in a crisp white Saharan-inspired bouclé skirt suit from her chief Spanish designer Felipe Varela.

She cinched the jacket with a matching canvas web belt, also from Varela.

Letizia accessorized with a gold-tinted python printed clutch which coordinated well with her gilded pumps. The clutch is reportedly by Adolfo Dominguez and the shoes are from Uterque. She has worn both pieces on numerous occasions over the past few years.

After leaving City Hall, and following a speedy wardrobe change from Letizia, the royal couple continued for lunch with French Prime Minister Manuel Valls and his wife, Anne Gravoin at the  Hôtel Matignon, a palace which serves as the official residence of the Prime Minister.

Sticking with the Italian-born French designer, Letizia carried the Nina Ricci 'Arc' black leather clutch and finished the outfit with her Prada pumps and dazzling ruby and diamond drop earrings.
