King Felipe and Queen Letizia opened the 37th edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) in Madrid today. The 5 day event will bring together more than 9,000 companies from 165 countries with 200,000 visitors.
Their Majesties toured the halls and met with some of the exhibitors of the fair.
Sartorially speaking, Letizia usually plays it safe for this annual event, but today she upped the style stakes and sported a new chic contemporary look.
She rocked a pair of maroon culottes (unidentified) with matching ankle boots. This combination is a current season trend popular with fashion bloggers and street-style fashionistas. Letizia debuted the Uterqüe nappa ankle boots (€125) featuring 3" wood lined chunky heels.
She softened the trendy ensemble with a new long-sleeve pink silk blouse by Adolfo Dominguez. The 100% silk button-up shirt features front buttons concealed by a placket, and has an asymmetric hemline that is a hint longer in the back. The blouse originally retailed for £170 but has now been discounted down to £68.
Letizia also picked up a new bag at the Adolfo Dominguez sales. Today she accessorized with the Adolfo Dominguez Multicolor Shoulder Bag with Large Flap (was £210, now £105).
The colorblock bag is crafted in a mix of bovine and eco-leather that closes with a large flap bearing the U logo. It has golden hardware and the inner lining has a zippered pocket for keeping small essentials.
Her Majesty balanced the modern outfit with an elegant stone double-face wool coat which she premiered last month for a visit to Grupo Zeta.
Queen Letizia finished the look with her Coolook interchangeable earrings consisting of the smoky quartz 'Big Candy' stud earrings (€149.00) paired with the 'Hera' pendants (€247.00).
