There was a gala dinner afterwars in a 3-stars Michelín restaurant. It was to be in the Elysee Palais, however in the end a restaurant was chosen for some reason.

Thanks for your comment Sonia, that explains why Letizia looked dressed more for evening than a daytime gallery visit. Impossible to know what time of day the viewing was given the pictures show broad daylight.

Never did like the lumpy, gathered, flower thingy on the shoulder. Letizia is so petit and this design feature overwhelms her. I like the dress otherwise and she accessorized beautifully.

I wouldn't say she is taller than Emmanuel Macron. Even with her 4" heels she is still couple of inches shorter.

She is about 1,67-1,68 cms tall the normal in Spain .Most of them are more petie. You must not see the rest of the people or women around her. Her husband us a giant, 1,97 .6'6'??

Germanic people are taller, on Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, people is not so tall. Letizia is considered even a bit tall here. Most women are shorter than 1,68. My mother is 1,56 .

I thought the sweetest picture ever was King Felippe having to bow so low to pay respect to Queen Elizabeth on the last State Visit here :)

In fact, he kissed her, they are family and also he is a king, so he do not need to bow.

Whatever it was, Felipe still had to bend low to reach our Queen who is only just over 5 feet :)

I wasn't a fan of this Delpozo when Letizia first wore it and still fail to warm to it since. It seems to have everything wrong with it that the fabulous off-shoulder del Hierro jumpsuit had right the other day. This dress made more sense to me last time when it was worn to an evening event, it's definitely cocktail, but I find Letizia's frame too petite to easily carry such an exaggerated flower embellishment. I also have a pet hate of gathered fabric at the waist especially when it's as stiff as this as I find the bulge created unflattering rather than fashionably edgy. I think I prefer Brigitte's sleek sheath on this occasion -- that woman has a breathtaking sense of style! - and Letizia looks out of context in her dressy outfit by comparison. I love the earrings this time at least!!

Hi Clara and Sonia, thank your for your comments. I love that we can share different points of view here and I especially love getting your Spanish input -- very classy! I can quite believe that Letizia is dressing in all-Spanish style and it's an education to me :)

That dress is beautiful! She looks a vision. I really like Brigitte Macron's dress too; the long sleeves and sleek design is so elegant.

I think something was wrong with the dress code here. Cancellation of the gala dinner at Elysée Palace at last minute? Beautiful blue Delpozo dress. I don't like Letizia's bun this time. I'm not a fan of the middle row on Letizia. Mme Macron looks very elegant in white.

I liked this dress the first time Letizia wore it back in 2017. I think the colour is fabulous. However I do think it would look better if it was a couple of inches shorter and sat just under the knee. She looks a bit dowdy next to Mrs. Macron. I also don't like the hairstyle because it's a bit messy looking.

This is the second time recently that Letizia has favoured a messy style. I agree it seems out of place with such a sophisticated dress.

In Spain people think, the dresses that Brigitte uses are too short. Knees at that age are not beautiful.

Then maybe you should try to be a bit more tolerant and less ageist? Funny how many comments here start with ‘people in Spain’ ... How about expressing your own opinion, rather than making these overgeneralised comments? Incidentally, I sometimes read one particular Spanish blog dedicated to Letizia, and the comments are mercilessly critical towards her. As for my own opinion, Letizia looks attractive, but overly made up, and the dress looks pompous, especially outdoors

you read one particular blog, probably agaibst the monarchy, so obvious. The Media in this country has appauded Letizia this time, the France is not a Mobarchy and also the gala, dinner was canceled for some reason, despite being in both agendas. And all fashion bloggers thinks Brugitte's dresses are too long, here and in Sebastopol.

The protocol in a Palace is black tie, like that, the French are not kings and Brigitte was underdressed not the contrary.

if you enter in a Palace after 5pm, you need a gala dress, long or short. In France they have a Republic so the do not follow the protocols...Too much short dress and white in the evening....wrong!!!
