The Queen of Spain was on hand to deliver the Iberdrola Foundation scholarships and research grants in Madrid today.

The annual grants assist the training of young professionals in the field of renewable energy and biodiversity.

Queen Letizia stepped out in a interesting design by fashion giant, Zara. The pleated piece gives the illusion of dress but is in fact a jumpsuit. The jumpsuit dress features a round ruffle collar, and long sleeves with ruffle appliqués on the elbows. It has a back zip closure, and is finished with a contrasting fabric belt. It has sold out but had a R.R.P. of US$69.99.

Letizia complemented the black belt with a new black handbag by Lidia Faro. It is their signature 'Letizia' model made from reptile skin leather.

On her feet she wore a new pair of pumps by Magrit in a matching teal hue as the dress. I believe the custom style is based on the brand's Lissette model (€269).

Letizia finished the look with her Chanel 'Comète' Earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds.

The jumpsuit costs 12,99€, Euros in Spain, about £14,34 in UK...It is sold out in internet but there was some in the shops at least two weeks ago.

I love the turquoise colour of this outfit as well as the affordable price. The sleeves are an interesting style as well. However, I don't understand why they designed this as a jumpsuit. It looks so much like a dress. A jumpsuit just wastes fabric that's not really needed and it makes it so difficult if one needs to use the restroom.

Queen Letizia looks striking in this colour. The ruffled sleeves, belt and the toning shoes lift this everyday priced jumpsuit into an impressive outfit befitting the occasion.

I don't like the dress though I like the Queen doing affordable labels in shops we all shop at. Good for her!

It's so great to have you back again, hope hols were good! I thought this Zara garment a bit odd, I can't see why anyone would go to the trouble of creating a pantsuit that looks so much like a dress, it's hard to see what style advantage there is. But Letizia wears it well, and it's a good colour on her. Her new pumps are amazing, though surely this modest Zara can hardly have justified such a purchase on its own? But Letizia still pulls it all together well enough :)
