The outfit is just another boring light top/dark bottom combination that we have seen Letizia wear so often lately. I think it is dull & drab and lacking creativity. The previous years outfits for this event were far more stylish. The blouse is O.K. but old fashioned. The width of the pants (culottes) don't look right with the shorter length. Wide pants look better longer and cropped pants look better shorter. I also don't care for snakeskin shoes. They draw too much attention to the feet.

We've had this discussion before. There are cropped pants; they are not culottes. On 6/7/2018 I said, "I've commented before about calling these cropped pants culottes. I don't think it is the correct term. So I looked up the word on Wikipedia, that under women's clothing says: "Modern English use of the word culottes describes a split or bifurcated skirt or any garment which hangs like a skirt, but is actually pants." Merriam-Webster Dictionary say, "a divided skirt; also : a garment having a divided skirt —often used in plural. The Oxford Dictionary says, "Women's knee-length trousers, cut with full legs to resemble a skirt."
So I say again, that these are cropped pants, not culottes.

You win LOL I know these are not technically culottes but it flowed better in the title rather than writing cropped pants HAHA. Moving forward, I'll stop using the term since it upsets so many ;)
SO???

Whoops, I copied and pasted the text from the previous post when she first wore them. Sorry for the oversight, it's been corrected.

In Spanish, she is a Spaniard "pantalones tobilleros" , no more English for the pants. What a nonsense!!
Perfect for a Cancer event, it was Not a party, focused in treatments. Working girl. Not to stand out.

I sometimes have the feeling that people dont understand anything.

I completely agree with you. This is work for her. She is not there to amuse anyone and she is not a fashion blogger so that she has to be super edgy and forward. A lot of women myself included wear white/blue or white/black combinations to work and that's not boring but classy and elegant. It was a cancer event not a fashion performance.

Pink is the colour who represents the breast cancer, at least in Spain.

Never mind if it is white, link pink, light blue, eggshell, or whatever. Light blouse + dark skirt/pants are not boring, it's a professional look. That's my point.

That's such a pretty blouse and a classic pick for Letizia, an excellent addition to her already extensive collection.Great fun that she has finally caught up with Lagerfield. It's wonderfully teamed with the culottes which are in a mercifully soft fabric so they hang well and the Magrit snakeskin pumps are just right.
