Nice look, modern print on a dress and very interesting choice of purse and shoes to break the monochrome.
Just one thing... there is too much shirt dresses this year for my taste. I see shirt dresses as something casual, something you wear when you don't want to make an effort, just put that and the look is done. But since shirt dresses look on a cheap side, for the Queen I would prefer nice fitted dresses made of better material that give more expensive look, or nice pencil skirts or A line skirts in some good combination...what do you think?

In Spain the press has criticised her for wearing fitted dresses so now she is wearing what people in the country ask for, or the media, bloggers, in fact.
Actually many think that she need even less money for clothes.
Also Cuba is not the country to show expensive clothes.

This is a floaty, airy, look for a nightime arrival in the Caribbean where the temps are still quite warm. This is not the official greeting by the Cuban government. That will happen today. It's off the plane, meet both ambassadors and on to the hotel.
She has been criticized for wearing body conscious clothing, changing her hair too much, and spending the pittance she gets for clothes (in comparison to the much admired others). Lately, she has added more volume, in the form of these dresses, just as the others have been doing all summer. The reason that these looks come across as 'cheap' escapes me.

Actually, this is a historic event because it is the first time a Spanish king has been invited to Cuba for a State Visit. As long as Letizia looks well dressed it will be appreciated.

I agree with Edita that shirt dresses are more casual and don't look as sharp. But this Boss dress doesn't look like a shirt dress at all. Maybe because Letizia is so stylish she manages to make it look fitted and tailored so that is flatters her excellent figure. The Zebra print is gorgeous and not overpowering like the snake and leopard prints we have seen lately. The pink accessories are a good choice because they help brighten up the outfit.

One way to beat criticism would be to rewear some of the beautiful items she has in her closet rather than trying to copy every new trend! This dress is almost the same as the Victoria Beckham dress she wore just a few days prior so why was it needed? I do like these pink shoes though and I hope we will see them again.

I agree Asya. She has so much beautiful clothes in her closet, too bad she hasn't wore some of these pieces for years. That would be the way to save money.
Also, even clothes with reasonable price can look expensive, that is what I ment, while some clothes, like shirt dresses, always look... well, high street.

Even though this piece is completely different from the Victoria Beckham leopard print separates worn last week, I find it a little similar in design: the sheen of fabric, colour-way, shirt style, and full skirt. Putting that to one side, this is a very stylish dress with the three quarter length sleeves which create an early pause in the heavy print, the voluminous skirt is defined at the waist with by D-belt ring and the shirt elegantly skims her figure. The zebra pattern reminds me of naked trees in the winter, where bark appears black against the grey sky, which I find rather chic. Concealed front buttons and long cuffs are considered details that add structure to the lightweight twill. I don't like branding, so the bold initials on the Carolina Herrera bag make me retreat, along with the white one that she also owns. However, the shocking fuchsia accessories are a real treat for the eyes against the striking monochrome and appropriately compliment Cuba's warmer climate. This will be a practical shirt dress to re-style when home with an array of different accessories, I can easily see it being re-worn for an audience with the Queen.

I have tried to find out the dress in other print but I couldn't. I agree it is too much "animal" pattern lately. Last year it was Glen plaid? Is it correct?
Every year she has a favorite....😋

Wendy, there has been a lot of black/white outfits the past two years too. Another favorite.

Hi Wendy, I had a look back through last year and you are right! there was lots of Glen plaid. I think trousers, dresses, a top, and a trouser suit. Animal prints must be the new favourite for this year :o)

I'm normally not a fan of shirt dresses. But, I really like how she looks in the 2nd pic where she's walking on the tarmac.

I think it works because she used her purse and shoes to pop it with a lot of pink colour! ( had she only wore it with black shoes/purse then, I'm not sure I would like the dress....)

Love that CH purse. The designer initials incorporated into it is so clever. And the shoes are nice too.

This is a lovely dress, not so keen on the Zebra print, prefer it though to the snake print last week , but the dress itself flows beautifully and fits well. The colour of the CH Insignia small shoulder bag and sling back pumps is divine, gorgeous.

Wow, what a fun print!! Very South Atlantic! A lovely neat shirtwaister from Hugo Boss as well, not too floppy or shapeless, but neat into the waist and a flattering flare in the skirt. Love the CH bubblegum pink accessories, perfect.
