The ASALE is the entity in charge of bringing together the different Academies of the Spanish Language in order to promote the unity, integrity and development of the Spanish language. Created in Mexico in 1951, it brings together the twenty-three corporations from America, Spain, the Philippines and Equatorial Guinea.
During the solemn act, the strategic projects in which the Association is working on were announced and several of the main historical milestones of the academies. In addition, the 'Chronicle of the Spanish language 2021' was presented, a work that analyzes the current state of the Spanish language in the Spanish-speaking world. Their Majesties received a copy of the 'Chronicle of the Spanish language 2021' and 'Quijote chico' from the director of the Royal Spanish Academy and president of the ASALE.

I didn't know what to make of this blouse last time the Queen wore it. On this occasion it looks wonderful, why? I simply don't know! Its obviously of marvellous quality, but maybe with this glorious skirt. I love this chic look, the Queen looks fabulous. The skirt is simply divine, the length is spot on. It flows beautifully, on movement, perfect. The N R handbag is delightful. Not a fan of the earrings.

I didn't like this blouse at a previous wearing and I still don't. It seems to have an identity crisis with too much going on...oversized, contrasting buttons, one sided ruching, sleeves with two layers, asymmetrical hemline. The rest of the outfit is fine.

Letizia appears to be having a cape moment as she keeps turning up in the style in one form or another. I look forward to seeing a tailored coat once again, her last one was worn shrug-style and caped over her Hugo Boss check pant suit. I find all the extra fullness is detracting from what she wears, and I find a full skirt too much under a cape structure,

The Maksu Fontana blouse remains a lovely piece, classic Letizia, demonstrating style and elan without rocking the boat. The foldover front with buttons is both attractive and quietly businesslike in black-and-white contrast, though again there's a lot of fabric and fulness going on, along with the cape element plus the panelled flare skirt.

Some streamlining at some point might be welcome contrast. I think Letizia just gets away with it as the skirt is relatively sleek and her statement Burberry ruffle belt cinches the waist nicely. With black accessories it all makes a most appropriate monochrome outfit for an academic engagement.

We have had about 20-25 C degrees in the whole Spain at Christmas time, so coats have not been needed. We have been wearing "winter" clothes only for modesty, in some places at that temperature people wear shorts. Now is a bit colder, but not at a normal winter anymore.
