King and Queen of Spain inaugurate Sorolla exhibition

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia inaugurated the exhibition "Sorolla through light" on Thursday at the Royal Palace of Madrid.

The immersive exhibition commemorates the 100th anniversary since the passing of the Spanish painter, and will combine for the first time Joaquín Sorolla’s artistic creations with digital recreations and sensory experiences through light, colour, and movement. Original paintings by the artist will also be on display, some from private collections that are rarely shown.

Good look except the red of the jacket is different than the red of the belt, shoes and clutch. I would look better if they were all the same tone.

It seems to be red leather week for Letizia and the Herrera peplum jacket has been deployed very successfully over the Mango dress. I'm glad we haven't had any leather doubles with both top and skirt or pants all in leather. I much prefer leather used on a single item like this, that way it retains its presence and edgy vibe against background items.

The jacket is so prettily shaped and the seaming is amazing, the self buttons superb. The Mohel Granata belt is just right to tie the dark dress in with the bright jacket, and the red croc Magrit accessories fare just right for a professional finished look. The texture chimes nicely with the jacket seaming. The Gold & Roses red needle earrings continue to be a favourite of mine. A great look from Letizia.

She looks very well put together here. Her shoes are really nice! I love the suede and croc print toes!

The grey dress combined with the red fitted leather jacket looks stunning. The red belt with this dress, is a welcome addition. Love the shoes and clutch, wonderful color combination. The needle earrings look very pretty.
