This is the third tweed dress that Queen Letizia has debuted this month! The one she is wore today and the previous one she wore in the Netherlands are not very flattering, but I did like the black tweed dress she wore for the funeral mass.

Perhaps her lower heel height demands a shorter hemline.

This tweed dress is rather sedate but I do like it. The fringe detail at the wrist and waist certainly add interest. I also appreciate the fact that the direction of the weave of the tweed, on the top is different from the direction of the weave in the skirt. Personally I would like the dress to be just a bit shorter, but this is a small quibble. The earrings, shoes and purse are good choices.

The skirt panels are cut on the cross to create the soft A-line flare, and help it hang better. As you say this introduces another soft element of texture contrast which keeps the tweed from looking heavy. I like seeing the fabric in close-up showing us the pink and blue highlights -- the latter chiming with Felipe's immaculate waistcoat.

I seem to be the only tweed lover on this site. I noticed most didn't like the lovely green tweed dress worn in the Netherlands. I may have to stand alone on this one too because I think this dress is also lovely. It's elegant and modest with the interesting fringe details, 3/4 length sleeves and simple lines. I also like the midi length which is not always flattering but I think it works with this dress.

You are not alone. Loved the green one and love this one. Maybe people don't like tweed in spring? I moved from Canada to Australia last August. For me it's now Autumn and the tweed hits just right.

I think the tweed suits QL particularly because she has such a slight build. I avoid it for myself because I don't need the bulk but I really like it and wish I could wear it.

Spring?? There were 3C degress that morning in Madrid and the forecast is about rain, hail, next days...until mid May there is snow by the mountains...the 15 of May (San Isidro) usually marks the change.

Very feminine and elegant styling. Such styles are always successful. For cold days, a black woolen coat would also go well with this set.

I love this tweed dress, especially the fringe features adding interest. The style and length of the dress I like. The accessories color is good and the earrings are beautiful. I love her hair this length, suits her so well.

Tbh I can't get over how dapper King Felipe looks in his formal gear! But, back to Letizia, this is a lovely working dress for the awards ceremony, business-sober tweed with interesting texture in a smart A-line shape.

The pretty fringing at waist and cuff softens it and the bracelet sleeves are feminine, the black Hugo Boss handle bag is smart and unobtrusive. The Massimo Dutti kitten heels work well with the long lean line and the diamond and pearl drop earrings are perfect.
