Today, their Majesties marked the 25th anniversary of King Felipe's promotion to lieutenant within the ranks of the navy. Queen Letizia joined her husband in Pontevedra for the commemorations which were held at the same academy where on 16th July 1989 Don Felipe received his lieutenant’s office from his grandfather, Juan de Borbón, Count of Barcelona. King Felipe was dressed in his naval white uniform, while Queen Letizia wore a simple yet elegant outfit consisting of black trousers, fitted top and her woven Felipe Varela jacket. The classic tweed jacket dates back to September 2009, where Letizia wore it to an event in Burgos, Spain. She has worn it repeatedly since then. Today, Letizia wore black platform peep-toe heels by Magrit, a style she owns in several colors. She completed the outfit with her TOUS 'Dinah' pink opal earrings.
