Those earrings are absolutely fabulous. It's wonderful to see Letizia wear such a bold eye catching design instead of her usual minamalist style The colour of the blouse is a beautiful shade of blue which is captured in the earrings. The unusual voluminous sleeves are very captivating but since they are so full I think a slim skirt would have omplimented them better and given more balance to the outfit. Full sleeves with and A-line skirt is a bit too much volume.

Blue and black can be a smart combinatio, but I find this particular mix less effective. The Pol Studio blouse is lovely in itself, but very full in its gathering, and a touch heavy over the solidity of a black leather skirt.

The generous coat adds yet more fullness, but still has the advantage of containing the blue better than when it is all on view. I love the coat style with shawl collar and seamed sleeve

Black accessories keep the tone sombre and I can't fault the Queen for wearing a serious outfit for the Royal Spanish Academy. Letizia makes a brave attempt at lightening everything with multi-coloured statement earrings, the Alexandra Plata pave is beautifully worked and almost peacock-like in execution.

This look is a miss for me. The blue blouse might have looked better with a straighter, navy skirt. I feel there is too much volume with the coat, blouse and skirt. Also, I personally dislike leather in clothing and black leather especially. To me it says "motorcycle gang" in its harshness. The earrings, however, are dramatic, exotic and elegant

I love the blue blouse, but not with this skirt, it has too much bulk. I am not a fan of leather skirts, so this outfit is a miss for me. However the earrings are beautiful. I love them.
