King Felipe & Queen Letizia mark 75 years of Madrid public transportation

The King and Queen of Spain kicked off events marking the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT Madrid), at the Centro de Operaciones de EMT Madrid in Carabanchel, Madrid.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the opening ceremony of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT Madrid), at the Centro de Operaciones de EMT Madrid in Carabanchel, Madrid.

During Their Majesties engagement, they took a short bus ride to the EMT Operations Center in Carabanchel where they visited the workshops, the Mechanical Section and the Electricity Section and, on the esplanade, they saw an exhibition of historic buses and conversed with those responsible for the Museum and the maintenance of historic buses.

The EMT Madrid is a public limited company, founded in 1947. It is charged with the planning of public urban transport in the city of Madrid. The organisation is wholly owned by the City Council of Madrid and is a member of the Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid. Among the services provided by EMT Madrid are urban bus transportation as well as the BiciMAD bicycle-sharing system.

I like all elements of this outfit. The coat, dress and boots are very stylish and chic. The blue Massimo Dutti dress is most flattering and looks comfortable to wear. My only concern is that the dress hem hangs longer than the coat hem. However, the dress is quite a bit longer, so it is obviously intentional rather than it would be if just an inch of the dress showed.

I'm surprised how much I like this outfit as blue with black can be so heavy looking. Perhaps the context helps as with the couple posing on on a bus it looks a typical commuter outfit. The Massimo Dutti dress is a pleasantly light blue against the sober Herrera coat and both hang well.

The new dressy black Mango over-the -knee boots add a light touch with stilettos and the difference in hem-lengths is marked enough to look intentional and balanced rather than accidental. The only quibble I might have is that the coat belt doesn't look so well drooping down loose at the back.

This is one of my favourite dresses, love it, the colour is a very nice shade of blue. The CH black coat, is divine. I personally don't like dress in this case longer than the coat, but this is a minor quibble. The boots are gorgeous and work in well with the outfit. The bag is a great pick.
