King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain arrived in Athens on Sunday ahead of the funeral for Felipe's uncle, former king, Constantine II of Greece, who passed away last week, aged 82.

Constantine II, reigned as the last King of Greece from 6 March 1964 until the abolition of the Greek monarchy on 1 June 1973. He was the younger brother of Queen Sofia of Spain who travelled to Athens prior to his death upon hearing Constantine's health had deteriorated. Below is a photo of the royal siblings taken in 2005.
Soon after arriving, the King Felipe and Queen Letizia had dinner with relatives and were spotted leaving a restaurant with Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and his wife Crown Princess Marie-Chantal.
