King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attended a gala on Friday evening at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Círculo del Liceo, a private English-style club with an artistic Catalan heritage.

The club has around a thousand members that offers a series of elegant lounges, conference room, library, restaurant and many other services in an emblematic building of the city of Barcelona that it shares with the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

I don't think this is one of CH's best designs. The unusual neckline of this dress is not appealing to me. I wonder how the dress is held up on the lower part. It looks like it might slip down. The front part of the dress looks messy with excess fabric that looks odd.

Beautiful gown! I like how it’s draped. It fits her like a glove. I’m not usually a fan of the one bare shoulder, but it seems to work with how the dress is draped. Lovely color on her.

This is a wonderful appearance by the Queen, very elegant overall look. I love this gown, and glad to see it repeated, its 1st appearance is my favourite. I love the draping, divine, as well as the slight train at the back. The color is superb and the fit of this gown is superb. The gold shoes are a great addition. The Sapphire and diamond earrings are just beautiful, the bracelet was the perfect finishing touch.

What a stunning dress from Carolina Herrera and how well Letizia wears it. The asymmetric shoulder and body draping are beautifully executed to take an evening classic into something very special. There's drama and regal dignity all in one gown, it was terrific the first time we saw it on the UK state visit, and is well worth a return outing now. In fact I don't mind how often Letizia wears it.

I like the metallic gold Magrit clutch and Jimmy Choo Rosie sandals, but am struggling to argue with myself that they are in a reasonably cool tone to accompany the diamond and sapphire earrings bracelet, which I also love. It seems a little odd to mix gold with the silvery diamonds, but there are no laws about these things, and there is hardly a major clash, just a change in texture which is surely acceptable in fashion terms. Basically, Letizia looks simply wonderful.
