King & Queen of Spain held video conferences with DOWN España, representatives from the field of sport, and AENA

The King and Queen of Spain continued video conferences at the Palace of Zarzuela.

Her Majesty held a video conference with officials and members from DOWN España to find out how people with down syndrome and their families are managing during the pandemic.

Their Majesties held a video conference with representatives from the field of sport. Sports activities have been paralysed during the pandemic. The Superior Sports Council (CSD) and Ministry of Health have implemented measures to guarantee the health and well-being of athletes and their commitment to promote sport.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia held a video conference with representatives from Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA), who explained how the network's airports are becoming part of the chain that allows all-cargo flights with critical supplies. Furthermore, they have helped Spanish citizens return home and foreigners who were in Spain. AENA has also donated two million Euros to contribute to the development of projects related to treatments or vaccines against COVID-19.

Queen Letizia wore a new-to-us Hugo Boss blazer. It is the HUGO 'Ajanisa' Windowpane Jacket (US$495).

The design is menswear inspired with a double-breasted button front and oversized fit. It also features a notched-collar, patch pockets and an allover windowpane plaid. It is currently on sale at Nordstrom Rack for $199.

Over the weekend Their Majesties held telephone conversations with the following; Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid, hospitals in Canarias, hospitals in Extremadura and Vall d’Hebrón Hospital in Barcelona.

The criss-cross pattern of this blazer is a variation of pinstripe. I really like it. And the white top inside is a perfect compliment.

Downs syndrome, sport, airports and hospitals, the range of concerns the Spanish royals are keeping up with remains most impressive, they clearly have the interests of the whole nation at heart.

We may have fresh items for this recent spate of video outfits here, with the big windowpane check jacket and its possibly pale pink top which looks slightly V-neck. It all remains admirably restrained. I'm sure we've seen this jacket before, but am unable to source quite where, it may be a repeat top with it. The lighting for the video location is poor again so Letizia looks a shade washed out in one shot and the jacket very oversize. It all works ok with her seated position at a work table.

Thanks very much for the Hugo Boss jacket update. The pattern felt familiar to me but as I said I couldn't recall seeing it before, and am happy to have it confirmed that I hadn't. Letizia always chooses classic style so it's easy to think of her having had something like this before. The jacket looks a nice fit on the model so I'm guessing that maybe having the wearer seated might make it sit differently. I like it, a hint of pizzazz in the oversize check but perfectly restrained enough for a strictly businesslike setting.
