King Felipe VI & Queen Letizia welcomed Argentine president, Mauricio Macri and his wife, Juliana Awada at the commencement of their State visit to Spain.
The official welcome ceremony was held at the Royal Palace of Madrid. It included the playing of each country's national anthem.
This was followed by a Royal Guard parade.
After the ceremony, Their Majesties offered a private luncheon for their South American guests at their home in the Palace of Zarzuela.
Pink was the colour of choice for both Queen Letizia and First Lady Juliana Awada.
Her Majesty opted to repeat a blush pink Felipe Varela skirt suit, a set she's worn on a few occasions since she debuted it during a visit to the United States in November 2013.
There were no real surprises with Letzia's choice of accessories. She kept them neutral with her Magrit patent skinny belt and matching clutch bag. She added a new pair of nude pumps.
They are the LODI 'Saray' nude patent leather pumps (€109). The SARAY model is a classic lounge made of nude patent leather with a heel height of 11.5 cm and 0.5 cm concelated platform.
The highlight of the look was a "new" pair of elongated oval earrings.
The vintage-style earrings belong to Letizia's mother-in-law Queen Sofia, however their provenance is unknown. Below we show Sofia of Spain wearing them in 2008 during a State visit to Japan.
Both ladies had fabulous up-dos.
We'll see more elegance from both women at the evening's gala dinner!

La recepción no tuvo lugar en el palacio de El Pardo, como en otras ocasiones, sino en el Palacio Real.
