Burgo de Osma is a litlle town in Soria province, about two hours driving from Madrid. The region of Castilla-León.
The bell of the Cathedral in this town is a UNESCO site.

If my memory serves me correctly this ensemble has now been worn on 3 occasions this year, I would like to see Letizia dig a little further back into her closet so repeats felt fresh. The proportions and fit are good with this Hugo Boss set, the vibrant colour allows her to stand out amongst the crowd and there are some nice little silver trimming details. The Lodi patent pumps work well, the glossy effect provides polish and burgundy and red compliment one another. Minor quibble, I would have liked a chic voluminous ponytail rather than her hair worn down. The double dagger earrings match the silver buttons/rivets on the cuffs and belt and add to the modern feel of the outfit.

It is a litlle town, the countryside, more sofistication....tricky....

Hi Mara, everyone appears to be smartly attired in the photographs, some of the gentlemen are in suits and ties. It seems that Letizia judged it just right - I would just like to have seen an outfit less familiar. I had a look at your link, what a beautiful place to call your homeland!

Jennifer, men have not another atire, suits and ties or jeans, for them all is different, women have more alternatives.

In the litlle towns when the Queen is visiting everybody dresses up, it is very Spanish, when someone important appeares. Women attend the hairdresser just in case to be shown on tv, the older the more....🤣

I totally agree with the " further back into the closet", I have found some things she could have worn. I'm afraid she is avoiding Varela, however she used to have plenty of them.

For example, the pale pink, warm but pale for spring:

Hi Wendy, such wonderful finds!! I very much enjoyed looking through them! I particularly liked the blush trouser ensemble and the blue lace belted jacket and dress. For this engagement the trousers would have looked elegant paired with the white silk Hugo Boss Banora blouse, along with similar blush coloured pumps. I wouldn't have repeated the outfit in it's entirety as that look was very much a moment in time when she was visiting Morocco, I also believe in working separates as creatively as possible. I understand that Felipe Varela polarises opinions in Spain so it might be best judged not to buy as much as she once did but I don't see the harm in re-wearing some of the really successful pieces occasionally.

This ones as well for a reception or serious event with older people: they are not very fresh as the weather has been odd as well.

Jennifer, I like the way Letizia repeats outfits and I agree with what you said about the "fresh" factor. I feel jewelry and accessories are a great way to enliven and make outfits more interesting. This is one area that I think Letizia comes up short. With the exception of earrings she tends to stay away from jewelry in general and this makes a lot of her outfits boring. What are your thoughts??

Hi Sandy, if I had one criticism of Letizia it's that I wish she would mix up her accessories and hairstyles more. Events would be more easily distinguishable and it would take some outfits up a whole level. Where she repeats so often (which is great!) I wish a log was kept for Eva Fernandez to refer to so that outfits could be catalogued and restyled as differently as possible. Some of her ensembles for important occasions seem to have shoes and clutch sets made specifically for them, I wonder if this creates a sense that the outfit can only be worn with those accessories, I appreciate that those sets are often the best choice but jewellery and hair can nearly always be mixed up. I would love to see Letizia wear more jewellery, she used to wear more... maybe with a lot of hand shaking bracelets and rings get in the way and are uncomfortable but the occasional well placed necklace would be lovely. I hope this doesn't sound overly harsh, I obliviously love Letizia's style, it's why I am so picky, she has a closet full of so many gorgeous things. I would like to see some of it utilised more.

Sandy, I too wish that Letizia would wear more jewellery on certain occasions. However, I would never call her outfits boring. I think she is one of the most stylish and exciting royals out there.

And who would pay for the jewelry? In Spain we need a working Queen consort, not a clothes horse. The Crown owns very few pieces, this is not Uk, I think you have seen all of them and another ones are Sofía's private. They are there because they work and up to now they have been honest, she is intelligent and serves her Country.
We voted our Monarchy in 1975 , so it is an election.

Jennifer, I know what you mean. I would love to be Letizia's stylist and make some of the changes you mentioned. I can only dream.....But, I do think she does mix up her hairstyles a great deal to the point where they don't always flatter her features. Let's face it most women are confined to only a few hairstyles that look good on them. But sometimes her hairdresser is a little too daring and the results aren't always good.

Laura, I agree Letizia's overall style is great. But everyone has room for improvement.

Mara, I was referring to costume jewelry. There are many gorgeous items available that are very affordable and don't cost a fortune. Some top fashion designers have their own lines. Perhaps I am wrong and royals must only wear real jewelry??

I'm not a fan of pants that are way too short. Takes the eye to an uncomfortable place rather than the entire outfit. No please no more too short pants......

Everybody wears those pants here, at least in Madrid and overall in my office. So they are a "must"..., here they are called "skirt-trousers"...(falda-pantalón) and worn with flats as well.

For me it would be awful, (clothes I mean), this week she has had 5 engagements, for 5 different events and also she is going to UK where the protocol is different too. Terrible!!

This is a terrific snappy outfit and Letizia can wear it as many times as she likes as far as I'm concerned. I like the switch-up from black accessories last time to red this, especially with the darker contrast red in the Lodi pumps, an elegant variation. I like how the belt openings are edged in gold and tie up with the button detailing on the top cuffs. Once again Letizia works her 'falda-pantalon' with style, catching the exact right length that keeps them more like a midi skirt and safe from any more clownish take that can haunt women less suited to the style. Hooray for the trusty dagger earrings, so fresh, edgy and feminine.

Oops, my bad, the belt and cuff embellishments are silver, not gold :(
