I think this whole outfit is absolutely stunning. I saw some comments on the internet that suggest that this look is rather too sexy for a queen to wear, but I believe that Letizia carries it off well. Also I hadn't realized just how dark her hair until now, it's almost as black as her dress in some of the photos.

It's racy and brilliant, but with a very modest hemline to give royal cover!! I have no sympathy for the pearl-clutchers on this one ;)

Love! this is a contemporary art fair and the Queen has dressed accordingly. She is a master at different looks, romantic and regal one day, avant-garde the next. Minor quibble, I would have left the hair ribbon at home, otherwise I think she looks utterly chic, what a snazzy find this high street dress was. Credit to her hairstylist who helped create this high fashion look.

I hate this dress! The all leather look is too shiny and makes Letizia stand out too much. I also hate that hairstyle- it's too low on her forehead, doesn't suit her face and looks very messy at the back. And those nude shoes are too much of a contrast with the darkness of the dress.

I can’t recall having seen this outfit until now, although I thought I was doing ok keeping up while the blog was on a break. It certainly hits me right in the eye now, what a sensational pick for a modern art engagement, and a sartorial coup for Letizia.

She’s got plenty of form on picking leather as a fabric for royal outfits, more than other royals I would have thought, but this Uterque one really takes the biscuit. It’s just sensational, love those kimono sleeves and the tie belt, and her styling is impeccable with her smoothed down hair and the false fringe over her forehead, not to mention having studs on her Uterque clutch.

I'm cool with nude pumps as any more black would have been too heavy. Stud earrings too are perfect and the ribbon tied ponytail the perfect finishing touch for an edgy, youthful and very fashionable look. Bravo!

The dress is by a Swedish brand & Other stories, Uterqüe only the purse.

Not so educated that I manage to get the design labels correct! Your English is brilliant, I'm only sorry I'm not educated enough to speak to you in Spanish ❤

Letezia dares to wear a few of these very edgy outfits each year. This is one of them and she has pulled it off with style. Wish she had left off the hair ribbon which is way too girlish for this rockstar look!

Thank you Elizabeth for staying with the blog. It is the best one of all!

I agree this dress is absolutely stunning on Letizia. Wouldn't you know, though, there's always something that detracts from the utter perfection of it all, like that ribbon tied around her pony tail—too little-girlish and silly and just not okay for a queen. I might have preferred black pumps, but the neutrals are a good choice, too. I like how she scaled back on the jewelry so the focus was all on the fabulous leather dress! Another 95% for Letizia (—5 for the ribbon)!

This is a crazy-cool look on Letizia and works perfectly for the occasion. I always get the impression that whatever Letizia wears it's been pondered at depth - although, like others, I think she should have re-thought the hair ribbon in this instance! In the fashion flashback, I love the stylishness of the 2015 outfit.

To answer your question on which outfit I like best, I will just say that the 2016 one stuck to my mind. I am not sure I liked it best, but made a strong impression on me. This year's outfit will also be remembered, I am sure. I like that she dares to try, you never get bored with her.

I don't like this outfit but I admire Letizia for trying something different. I especially like her false fluttery eyelashes to give a doll-like effect.

When I first saw this outfit, I was like: Wow,wow, wow! Only queen Letizia can make this impression to me. She looks absolutely stunning! Except the ribbon, the whole outfit is perfect, chic, daring! The hair is also great, it fits her and the outfit perfect!
I was affraid again that you'll quit this this blog Elisabeth, thanks for keeping it.
Queen Letizia is really unique. She wears absolutely everything, every type of clothes great, and she can always surprise. She is not conservative at all. I love all of her lether outfits, it is very modern and chic! My favourite outfits are then 2016 and 2019. But even when the wardrobe is classic or monochrome, or something from high street brands, Letizia looks like a million dollars. I think it is because her atittude. She is always self confident, like she is saying: I know I look great. Her posture is perfect, and her body shape very feminine; these are all the elements that makes her look perfect (almost) every time.

This was just fabulous. Would not change a thing. It is expected that she creates a look for this event and she delivered. The nude shoe is perfect. It adds length between the hem of the dress and the shoe. The ribbon belongs to a theme, to be sure, but we have not figured it out. Nothing is random with QLstyle. I'm with Bertie, no sympathy for the pearl clutchers or the 'for a queen crowd'.
