The King and Queen of Spain began their second day in Oviedo at the Reconquista Hotel where they held an audience with the winners of the "End of Career 2017" awards from the University of Oviedo; and the winners of the "Medals of Asturias 2018"
Next it was on to Covadonga Hall, where Their Majesties met with the 2018 Princess of Asturias Award laureates.
Queen Letizia's outfit was a top-to-toe repeat of the ensemble she wore in June last year for the commemorations marking 40th anniversary of Spain's first elections.

At the Middle Ages our King would have been seen without any problem....Handsome and titan.

I am so impressed by this very beautiful Herrera dress. Everything about the outfit is just perfect. The alternating lace bands are great for an evening look and it fits perfectly. The shoes are also gorgeous and the tan/nude colour goes great with red. I don't know if there is a difference between tan & nude?? This is Letizia at her stylish best-simple and elegant.

A worthy repeat of a delicious Herrera and trimmings. The lace is fabulous and the bands of contrast fabric help prevent things become too frothy. The tailoring is subtle and masterful, a slight scoop at the neck and subtle cutaway shoulders, plus immaculate fit on the bodice with the skirt only gently flaring, fullness without heaviness -- perfect on Letizia.

Very pretty dress and red always looks good on Letizia. Purse and earrings look nice, but I would have preferred a red, or black shoe. Duchess Kate often wears nude shoes and I don't like them on her either. Although nude shoes don't clash with anything, then also don't enhance anything.

Elisabeth: I love your posts and admire your hard and accurate work. Also your sensibility (not discussing about the outfit or look when it's a sad situation as a funeral, it's really elegant and the correct thing to do...but they do not do the same in the spanish blogs!).

I think you may be right Anna! I'll have to find hi-res photos to compare the leather. Also, thanks for your lovely feedback *hug*

I do see a slight texture in some photos! I know Letizia also owns this pair in nude patent leather (the ones I originally listed) so I just assumed they were the same pair. Thanks for pointing out the difference!

The slightly bell-shaped skirt ending at the knee and the fitted bodice of this dress create a lovely silhouette on Letizia.

A timeless piece that draws the eye in every photo. Beautifully accessorized with the flesh toned shoe serving to elongate the leg and expertly tailored to her proportions as are most of her outfits. The best part about this outfit is that the princess owns the kid version of the dress and looked very cute wearing it in her official picture.
