Today, the King and Queen of Spain chaired a meeting of the National Commission for the commemoration of the fourth centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes. The Spanish novelist, poet and playwright is best known for his satirical novel, Don Quixote.
As honorary presidents of the National Commission, their Majesties were presented with an overview of the promotion and coordination of events for the commemoration of this anniversary to be carried out by public authorities, private entities and individuals.
The Spanish queen opted for a chic corporate look, pairing a white blazer with black straight leg trousers.
It was the third time Letizia has worn the peplum style blazer by her signature designer, Felipe Varela. However, on each occasion she has styled it differently and adapted it to suit the occasion. When she debuted it during a visit to Washington DC, Letizia wore it over a coordinated black and white floral dress by the same design house. In January this year, she wore it with a black Felipe Varela maxi length dress for the traditional Pascua Militar celebration. Today, she opted for the simplicity of black trousers by Hugo Boss.
She accessorized with Magrit 'Mila' black leather pumps and her TOUS cultured freshwater pearl drop earrings.
