Parisian Perfection! Queen Letizia makes an impression in the French capital

Queen Letizia was in Paris today to attend the Second Global Conference on Health and Climate in her role as a Special Ambassador for FAO Nutrition.

Her Majesty delivered an impassioned speech during this morning's conference where she discussed the impact of climate change on health. She delivered the speech in English which you can watch here.

Queen Letizia also impressed in the fashion department. She combined familiar pieces to create an outfit that had the perfect blend of Parisian chic and business elegance.

She teamed her Nina Ricci sleeveless crinkled top with the Hugo Boss 'Valeti' natural white pencil skirt.

Letizia's accessories continued the navy and white theme. She wore her navy Magrit patent peep-toe heels and carried the Felipe Prieto white flap leather clutch.

Her TOUS blue stone and mother of pearl dangle earrings complimented the colour scheme.

Thank you for this blog, I am a huge fan. I do wonder though why Letizia doesn't wear a wedding ring? Do you think it's because she doesn't like rings? It is unusual though.

Who knows exactly why, but I can tell you the reason why she doesn't wear her engagement ring.
When Felipe proposed, he gave Letizia a ring which her saw in a catalogue. He asked his sister Cristina to pick it up, but she got sick. Her husband Iñaki picked it, payed for it and gave it to Felipe, but refused to charge him the ring.

Many years later, Iñaki was and still is involved in a corruption scandal, where money was channeled through charities to his personal account. The point is that it is heavily supected that Iñaki bought Letizia's engagement ring with a credit card, which account is involved in the scandal. So Letizia stopped wearing the ring because it was bought with money from the scandal.

As for the wedding band, who knows?
