Queen is chic in double denim for third hospital visit

Queen Letizia was back to visit her father-in-law, King Juan Carlos for the third time following his heart surgery at University Hospital Quironsalud Madrid. She was accompanied by her eldest daughter Leonor, Princess of Asturias.

Her Majesty looked relaxed in a classic combination of white denim jeans, a scoop neck tee, and a blue denim blazer. The single button jacket has a contrast topstitch and peaked lapel. It is unidentified.

Queen Letizia carried her Carolina Herrera 'Osaka' bag and wore her Hugo Boss white 'Kate' low cut sneaker.

She was also seen holding her Carolina Herrera New York black cat-eye sunglasses with gold rim and arms.

Hopefully this is a positive sign that King Juan Carlos is recovering well. He has had many visits from family members who have left the hospital smiling. This is a fresh outfit, I love the way Letizia has nonchalantly thrown a tailored blazer over her white basics. The jacket flares out from the waist down, it's a feminine contrast to the denim fabric. (I thought the blazer was most likely from Carolina Herrera as soon as I saw it, the cut is impeccable) The top stitching around the lapels and pocket flaps lifts the block colour while the navy coordinates with the Osaka handbag.The slim cut jeans are very flattering, they are neither too loose nor too tight, the turn ups look relaxed and make the leg appear longer with the flash of skin at the ankle.

I absolutely love this denim blazer. The fabric is very high quality so it doesn't even look like denim. And the carefully positioned top stitching on the front & back along with the self covered buttons on the cuffs really take it up a notch in the design department. The expert tailoring and fit are exquisite and coupled with the white camisole and pants it makes a perfect outfit for late summer/early fall. It would also look great with a white skirt or sleeveless dress.

Wow! She looks absolutely stunning. Especially in that first pic. The jacket looks more blue in indoor light. Her easy styling the denim jacket with white on white is casual yet gorgeous. Perfect with blue purse and white shoes. Just wow! That's style.

The monochrome Queen strikes again and kills it for the hospital visit closet!! When I saw the heading of double-denim I quailed with images of tired old rockers coming to mind, but this is waaay more sophisticated to double the denim in different colours. Class. It's just so effortless of her to throw on the smoothly tailored denim blazer over the white coordinates and then have the gorgeous Osaka tote do all the high-end designer work on its own. That's the third sneaker outing we've had and all looking great and the coordination with Eleanor is top drawer. Win-win for me!!
