ARCOmadrid is one of the prominent contemporary art fairs on the international circuit, held annually at IFEMA Madrid in the Spanish capital. Their Majesties toured the pavilions and also held a brief meeting with the governing bodies of IFEMA Madrid.

Oh, no! This top is a mess. I usually have some appreciation for avant-garde clothes but this one looks like a child made it in art class. It's not attractive or flattering in any way. Even Letizia can't save it. The haphazard placement of the weaving is sloppy. I think it might look better if the pieces were all the same width and colour then there would be cohesion and it would be more pleasing to the eye.

This is a good look, not exciting, but appropriate. The blouse is certainly unique. When Letizia wears it under a coat, it is somewhat under control. On the model it looks like it is about to unravel. I think all those dangling pieces would be annoying to wear.

The Herrera oversize coat looks well when it's featured as the main item worn, and Letizia looks very smart pairing it with slim pants and a plain pale contrast crew-neck. The low-heel Massimo Dutti slingbacks work well against the tapered trouser leg.

But I don't feel quite so sure about the Adolfo Dominguez cross pieces top when shown on its own in the studio shot. I can't quite imagine what it might look like on its own over Letizia's dark pants, it looks ready to tie itself in knots. It's clearly a strong contrast to the plain outfit and Letizia often carries a novel item off well. Glad to see Gold & Roses Double Dagger earrings doing sterling duty again.

The blouse is unusual, and appreciate the fact, the Queen is being individual, but this blouse is a fail. Her coat is the best part of this outfit.
