The chartreuse green is an unusual choice for Letizia. This dress will certainly help her standout in a crowd. It is a bit avant garde. But I think the special occasion warranted an outfit with some pizzazz. The bold colour, unusual sleeves and ruching in the front deliver on that front. It's great to see her wearing that adorable bow tie brooch. I hope we see more of it in the future.

Queen Letizia looks fabulous in this bright green dress. The ruched design below the waist is very flattering and the capped 'hang dog' sleeves are an interesting touch. She makes this Victoria Beckham design rock. Her jewellery choices are en pointe.

This is a modern but appropriate look for this regal occasion and the colour choice provides an acknowledgement to Spring.

This is an edgy look with a muted lime green and navy accessories. The dress' ruching is very interesting, as are the sleeves. Nice of Letizia to select a British designer for a British event. Oten I wish Letizia would wear a brooch to break up how plain some of her dresses are. However, in this case, the brooch really doesn't go with the earrings and bracelet.

Sorry but to me that is one ugly dress. The color is not flattering, the fit not particularly great, and the shoulders and sleeves just too much. To me, a real miss.

The Queen wears this dress beautifully, but I am not a fan, I don't like the ruching.
Her shoes and clutch, love the Navy suede color.
Her jewels, divine! The Sapphire and diamond earrings are breathtaking beautiful, love the Sapphire and diamond bracelet.
The diamond bow brooch, gorgeous. I'd love to see her wear more brooches.

I think this Victoria Beckham dress was a terrific pick by Letizia. The ruching has clearly been done properly and so is flattering, where so many other cheaper outfits, which have showcased the same recently on several people, have ended up looking like something that met with an accident in the wash. The sharp shade of green is fierce, but I think Letizia can just carry it off.

I like the way the asymmetric hem droops quite softly at the back and looks less messy than some, with the front being higher and more flattering. I find the cut of the sleeves very clever and innovative with the slit contrived with rounded edges like two flaps coming together but not floating around without purpose. Pretty subtle stuff.

The new diamond and sapphire earrings are heavenly and fully justify navy accessories, with the pretty pointed flap Magrit clutch and those superbly cut Nina Ricci pumps. The diamond and sapphire bracelet makes a welcome return as royal bling for a premier night out.

My initial reaction to this (and the next day's) outfit was negative so I refrained from commenting in case it grew on me. It didn't. I don't think the yellow-based green is flattering on QL and to me something seems really wrong with the proportion of the dress. The ruching sits too low and makes her torso seem very long and her legs very short. I do like the shoulder and sleeve but think it would work if her waist were clearly defined. Accessories? I get the navy green impact but to me it isn't pleasing.
