Queen Letizia attends annual FEDER meeting

The Queen of Spain met with the board of directors of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) today of which she is honorary president.

Her Majesty stepped out in a mix and match of familiar pieces. She arrived at the organisation's headquarters in Madrid wearing her black trench-style wool coat which she first wore last January for the Fundéu BBVA meeting in the Spanish capital.

The single breasted coat is reportedly by Hugo Boss but I have been unable to find a stock photo of the style. Here's a look at the back of the coat with its classic trench-coat detailing.

Underneath it Letizia wore her Hugo Boss 'Keili' tweed jacket, and a simple black knit top paired with basic black trousers.

You may recall the jacket is part of set which Letizia has worn on a number of occasions since she debuted it at FEDER's World Rare Disease Day ceremony in March last year.

I love that jacket and apparently Letizia does too, the contrast edging against the tweed texture is very neat. It looks great with the simple black ensemble especially if those are slimmer leg pants. It"s great that she has a touch of quirkiness quietly concealed in the flared stiletto heels and that she knows as always to keep jewellry to a minimum especially in a business context. Her hair looks darker here, though lighting and pale make-up might affect that. Another perfect easily thrown together look from Letizia.

Sorry Lucy, but it's not the same coat. This same blogger claimed it was Tommy Hilfiger when Letizia first wore it but she's wrong. There are obvious differences. To name a few: Letizia coat is black, not navy. Letizia's coat is wool not polyester like TH. There is no red trim on Letizia's collar as seen on TH trench, and the epaulettes are different. Not to sound rude but this blogger often makes inaccurate identifications.

Everyone at that board meeting looks so stylish! Very impressive. Particularly the gentleman next to Letizia with the bright blue glasses which match his tie. Tres chic!

Letizia proves that tweed is always in style. All of the combinations with this jacket have look chic. After all the silly articles about the 'exorbitant' sum of 60k euros for last year's wardrobe, this year she now 'shops' in her closet. Love the coat.

I doubt it was 60k, she obtains discounts by Carolina Herrera because it is a Spain related brand, also from Hugo Boss, bcause she buys a lot, Magrit, etc.. and most of the time there are from former seasons. Felipe Varela has a special rate for her too.She does not accept gifts, but discounts indeed. I have read in Spanish media about 38k.. Her salary is public, 138.000 euros per year..and she has to pay her clothes with that money, also her stylist Eva Fernádez.

Letitia has always shopped in her closet far more extensively than other royals known for their recycles. It is one of the reasons why I admire her.
I love that she usually styles her clothes differently while recycling (which she rarely did for this tweed suit, by the way). She must have someone in charge of keeping an archive of her clothes appearances. Does anyone have details about this?
I would love to see this suit with a shirt & shoes in bright colours, different between them! It would acquire a rockstar tone!

Letizia recycles a lot, she wears every dress more than three or four times. And she never wears Valentino, Givenchy, Yves Saint Lauren etc...
