She needed to wear neutral colours as she could not support any team.
Nice to promote women's sports.

I love the vest, a savvy pic for a sporting event, it works as casual/chic/formal all combined! It also looks really fresh worn with pants, compared with the lady-like grace of a matching skirt last time. She loves those earrings - discreet and edgy all-in-one, and slingbacks are great with this.

A smart look - the trousers and Carolina Herrera sling-blacks are particularly elegant. I like the way the gold trim on the clutch, the gold zip/studs on the waistcoat and the gold earrings/ring all match. I think this is the first time that the new ring (which is very striking in design) really works with the rest of the outfit since it's debut. The waistcoat is well tailored but I remember thinking the last time she wore this piece that I wish it sat a little higher on the chest so that the white camisole wasn't needed underneath. The drama of the guipure panel is also lost with the camisole, but was no doubt needed to protect the Queen's modesty. Design wise I wouldn't have put the guipure at the back, I think it's too feminine in contrast to the sharp look at the front - I would have put a vent at the back or some structured seam lines.

Agree about the guipure at the back. Varela loves it, he puts guipure in each of his creations.
