Letizia repeated a look she wore for an audience at the palace in January.
Queen Letizia attended the launch of the '(In)Formate' project at the Google Campus in Madrid.
The project, which is a joint initiative of the Foundation against Drug Addiction (FAD) and Google, aims to promote critical thinking in adolescents.
Letizia repeated a look she wore for an audience at the palace in January.
She wore a black sweater teamed with her Zara Snakeskin Print Belted Skirt (US$69.90 / SOLD OUT).
Today, Letizia opted to accessorize the skirt with the original black belt, rather than her own.
She again paired the look with her black over-the-knee suede boots. It was initially thought they were the Magrit 'Francesca' boots but after seeing this photo of the sole back in February, they look to be a high-street style. They could be the Steve Madden 'Dominique' boots (US$99.95) which have a similar sole.
Letizia carried her black Uterque studded messenger bag.
She finished the look with her beloved Gold & Rose double dagger earrings.

I'm not usually fond of animal/reptile prints but snakeskin is growing on me, maybe it's the muted colourway. I think this repeat is an improvement on it's first wear. It looks like the original Zara belt is worn so the belt loops stand straight, last time a different belt was worn and the loops leaned inwards, I found this quite distracting. I would like to have seen different accessories, but these boots work so well. A different black knit, but the simplicity of this crew neck is a perfect contrast to the busy print. I think the Queen looks modern and polished however, I think the quality of the accessories, including the knit make this look. On close inspection the skirt looks a little light weight and puffs very slightly under the belt - I still think it was good value for money and I applaud the use of the high street!

The skirt cost 13 euros in Spain!! You can't ask for anything else.

Hi Wendy, I'm so sorry to be a stick in the mud but I wouldn't pay 13 Euros for this skirt. Maybe, I am being overly hard where I just don't think it is of good quality.

Jennifer, I understand what you mean about animal prints. They can be overwhelming. But I do like them when they are used in moderation or broken up with other solid colour separates (like Letizia has done here). They can actually be quite striking.

Hi Sandy, I completely agree! I thought this was a really great look by Felipe Varela.

Thanks for pointing out why the belt loops work better this time. I've rather lost my concentration here as I'd earlier complained about the loops contrasting with the belt, which is nuts. Of course the loops are in the skirt fabric and not the colour of the belt. Time for my afternoon nap I'm afraid!!

Hi Bertie, I wondered the same! Would black belt loops or even no belt loops been more aesthetically pleasing.

The occasion did not call for anything special...

Sadly I think this is one bargain skirt that doesn't look so well, it has no hang to it and looks bunched and awkward, tho looking back I see I've changed my mind since liking it the last time! The black top and accessories are ok but on the heavy side against a flimsy fabric. I'd forgotten about those strange contrast belt loops, they do detract from the whole. The boots are great fun, a little whiff of danger there from Letizia just in case we were to pigeonhole her as predictable, likewise the studded Uterque bag. Fun to see her dagger earrings again. A very serviceable look, but not one that quite gels for me
