Queen Letizia celebrated her 42nd birthday today, but she didn't let her birthday get in the way of her royal duties. She attended the annual Luis Carandell Journalism Awards at the Senate Palace in Madrid. The awards recognize excellence in political reporting and journalism within Spain. Her Majesty chaired the ceremony and delivered a speech. As a former journalist herself, Queen Letizia looked genuinely happy to grant the award to this year's recipient Carmen del Riego, a political columnist for the La Vanguardia newspaper.. The birthday girl looked pretty in a recycled Hugo Boss floral print dress. She debuted the Hugo Boss 'Dinoma' dress for her first solo engagement as Queen. This colour-way is from the 2014 spring/summer collection and it retailed for €479/US$650. This dress has since sold out but the silhouette is available in new season colour options. For today's event, Letizia topped the dress with her white Hugo Boss 'Jeisana' blazer which features a peplum hem. This particular style has sold out, but there is a new season version currently on sale at Saks Fifth Ave. Doña Letizia accessorized the outfit in the same way she did the first time she wore it. On her feet were the Magrit blush patent peep-toe heels paired with a matching envelope clutch. She again wore the mother-of-pearl flower stud earrings. SHOP QUEEN LETIZIA'S STYLE FOR LESS ...
