The designer of the skirt was Purificación García, one of the best un the country...30 years ago.. obviously.

The skirt is beautiful and perfect for an evening event. It is more mesmerizing because of the metallic threads that run through the fabric and reflect the light. If it was Queen Sofia's then it's wonderful that Letizia gave it another life. The plain silk blouse was a smart choice to offset the shimmer of the skirt and keep the outfit from being too busy.

While an all black outfit addresses the solemn nature of an "In Memoriam" concert, I do wonder if the metallic shimmer in the skirt, is perhaps a bit frivolous for this occasion. The outfit does have merit, although I find the skirt to be a few inches too long. The length borders on dowdy.

This skirt looks lovely, I can only assume it would look even better in person, some photos its hard to glimmer the waist addition, belt buckle ? or not. The blouse is problematic for me, I don't think, black in this instance does anything for the overall look of this outfit. A white silk blouse maybe might have given this look a better finish. The earrings I don't like. The shoes looks gorgeous. It would be interesting and helpful to see photos of Queen Sofia in this skirt and how she styled it.

Letizia looks very festive in this outfit. I love the shimmery skirt. The satin clutch is a perfect match and the shoes finish it off nicely. I hope it is a repeat from Queen Sofia.

I thought this outfit a little uneven until I learned that the pretty sparkly skirt may be another Sofia rewear. Otherwise I thought the Sandro blouse, which I also like very much, was too loose with the full skirt. Something closer fitting might have looked more svelte. However, with both being in black, it is all most suitable for a memorial concert, and I like the touch of celebration of life embedded in the shimmering skirt.
