Queen Letizia back in military mode for behind-the-scenes visit to Teatro Real

Queen Letizia went backstage today at Spain's major opera house, Teatro Real for a firsthand look at the workshops where stage sets and costumes are created.
She stepped out in black slim trousers and her Zara Military Jacket which we first saw her wear in November 2016 for the final engagement during the State visit to Portugal.  It is a cotton jacket with a raised velvet collar and passementerie detail on the front and sleeves. It is finished with gold-toned buttons on the front and velvet-covered cuffs. Unfortunately the piece has long sold out.

Letizia offset the military style with her soft white Hugo Boss 'Banora' silk blouse (£169). This staple design is still available at Hugo Boss UK in limited sizes.

Her Majesty arrived at the theatre wearing a combination she debuted earlier this year for a board meeting with Fundéu BBVA.  It consists of a black wool trench-style coat (brand unknown), and her black Hugo Boss 'Fanila' clutch and Hugo Boss 'Lula' ankle boots.

She topped of the look with her Bimba Y Lola gold hammered-effect hoop earrings.

I like the military jacket but overall it's a boring outfit. Lately Letizia is either wearing a bland, dull colour like black or grey or she goes all out and shocks us with fire engine red. Where are all her colourful outfits?
I strongly dislike those shoe/boots.

These boots are an awkward length, aren’t they, Sandy, going up to the widest point of the ankle. As for this look, it’s professional, not royal, but I think that’s the point about her role that Letizia has tried to put across for years

Beata, I respect Letizia for not wanting to be a clotheshorse. But I am greedy and want to see her dressed up in the best clothes all the time.

Love it! Classy and chic.
I especially like the shoes and the bag combo. It's a win in my book.

The family has been skiing in Formigal- Panticosa ski station (Huesca), the Spanish Pyrenees this week, just in case you were interested.

Loved the blouse, earrings and jacket however I strongly dislike that clutch and the shoes.
