Queen Letizia attended a board meeting with Fundéu BBVA today at their headquarters in Spain's capital.
Picture
The Fundéu BBVA (Fundéu being an acronym for Foundation of Emerging Spanish) is a non-profit organization founded in February 2005 in Madrid with an objective to maintain the unity and “purity” of the Spanish language.

Queen Letizia looked all business in her grey structured pant suit by Hugo Boss. The sleek set consists of the BOSS 'Jadela' Stretch Virgin Wool Asymmetrical Blazer and BOSS 'Tiluna' Stretch Virgin Wool Dress Pants.  The blazer is currently discounted by 60% at Saks Off Fifth.

The suit was first worn in February 2017 for the Forum Against Cancer meeting in Madrid, and again last November at a board meeting with the National Library of Spain. Each time Letizia has changed up the accessories.

Today the Spanish queen teamed the set with her black Hugo Boss 'Fanila' clutch and a new pair of black booties.

They are the Hugo Boss 'Lula' ankle boots. This model by BOSS combines a black woven leather upper with shiny patent leather. It is finished with a 9 cm stiletto heel. Retailing for £339 the booties are now discounted to only £109 at Brand Alley.

For her arrival and exit from the building, Queen Letizia rugged up in a black trench-style wool coat. The new piece is reportedly by Hugo Boss but I have been unable to locate it in their stock catalogue.  The single-breasted coat features epaulettes, gun flaps, buckle cuff details and is finished with a belted waist.  I'll update the post if we ever find the model.

Letizia completed the ensemble with her Gold & Roses Double Dagger Earrings (€2,125) made of white gold and diamonds.

No it's a new coat, but it does look very similar to ones she's worn in the past.

This look is so boring that when one has insomnia, one can look at it and fall asleep. The booties are a bit Mary Poppins, meets granny, meets Lagerfeld's ideia of a Chanel shoe in a really bad day. Buuttt........ however.... this is Letizia and of course that she can pull off this outfit. She looks very elegant. The earrings are a dream and the bag is beautiful.

Very Hugo Boss, the German brand is a bit like that, sophisticated in a cold way...

Poor Letizia gets accused of being obsessed with fashion, but his outfit shows her mind was on her work, Boring but serious....

Letizia is always serious and her mind is always on her work even when she is in red head to toe. I'm not questioning her work or personality. The outfit is just boring, boring, boring... Letizia is amazing. I love her.

I like the classic look of the coat but I'm not sure about the boots. They look out of place with those skinny pants. That Hugo Boss grey blazer is still a winner!

The boots are my favorite part of the outfit.

I usually love everything that Letizia wears, but agree with those who say this is a boring look. It is just too sombre, like something one would wear to a memorial service. A flash of red would liven it up..in a scarf, purse, or shoes…or another bright colour to accessorize.

I know it most likely is Hugo Boss... but I have the same coat by Burberry from a few years back. If it's not the same coat, it's a pretty good match. Even writing on the buttons are in the same location.

Thanks for the suggestion! Do you have a product link for the Burberry coat? Letizia has worn Burberry in the past so there's a good chance it could by the British brand rather than Hugo Boss!

Sorry I don’t. And I don’t see a similar coat in their stock list. But the buckles and buttons look very Burberry.

I love this pantsuit, the fit, the styling are the ultimate chic. The slimline pants are just right on Letizia's petite frame and I love the asymmetric folded detail on the jacket front, edgy while remaining businesslike and understated.

The footwear is simply delicious. I'd never want to even try moving around in such wicked heels, but they combine with the patent panel to add a whiff of subversion to a sober outfit. Nicely played, and Letizia at her best.
