The town of Almagro (Ciudad Real province), belongs La Mancha region, Don Quijote's land...Where the windmills are typical.

I'm delighted to see this Carolina Herrera re-worn, it's such a beautiful shade of fuchsia. I adore the fullness of the skirt, it reminds me of a tulip with it's soft pleats echoing petals. The Tous ruby and emerald earrings are a fabulous choice, so striking and unusual, the vibrant green really pops against the dress. Minor quibble, I appreciate that the soft pink accessorises work well, but I will go to great lengths to avoid these plastic mules. I wish she had re-worn the gorgeous pink Magrit shoes/clutch set which looked incredible with the dress in America. Enough time has passed for a complete re-wear or the addition of a small emerald clutch paired with the shoes. A wild card here, as another possible option, the Magrit snake effect Mila pumps, the pewter Felipe Varela clutch and pearl earrings with her hair styled up. Shoe designers are producing wonderful mules with a slightly deeper cut or an interesting extra strap to help hold the foot in place, the plastic isn't always necessary.

Thanks so much for your most intelligent comments on the dress, they are bringing me out of a fit of the grumps and reminding me just why I liked this dress the first time. And you're so right about those earrings, I was thinking it odd that Letizia had more than one pair of pink and green drop earrings having seen the Coolook on the last post. Also a relief to see someone else not on board with the plastic mule strap. It seems to make her feet fade out too much under the fabulous bold fuchsia. I appreciate the trouble you go to to suggest alternative accessories :)

Hi Bertie, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the dress as much this time round. It looks best when she is stationary and she seemed to be in constant movement in many of the photographs. Slightly off topic here. I hope you don't mind, but I thought you might appreciate this Michael Kors gown worn by Emily Blunt in the same colourway as the dress and earrings. I think the fuchsia and emerald work stunningly well together. Thank you for being so kind about my constant suggestion of alternative accessories. I often worry that I am being far too particular. I just have so much fun looking back through old outfits and trying to create new ones - I should probably get out more :o)

Hi Jennifer, thanks so much for your thoughtful reply, sorry not to have seen it earlier but I have been mighty distracted by BritRoyals all weekend. That's a great point about Letizia's Herrera dress looking best when she's still, it's when she moves that the cutaway shoulders start to pull and almost threaten wardrobe malfunction with lingerie. I don't see you as being too particular about accessories at all, it must be a great way to build up familiarity with Letizia's style choices while refreshing all our memories! Thanks for the link, Blunt has quite an eye for style doesn't she, and the colours look fab on that dress.

I feel a fool for saying this, but despite having loved this Caroline Herrera dress when we first saw it, it's not chiming with me this time. I must have got out of bed the wrong side. It's beautifully made, flawless indeed, but now I'm finding it odd how the buttons peter out just below the bust and the shoulders seem too cutaway showing what might be uncomfortable flesh, and giving an impression the bodice might be too tight.

I'm sure this is nonsense on my part and I'll repent before nightfall, but as ever, when there's one thing I don't like I start finding fault all over. And this time the plastic strap on her shoes is irritating me when I've liked them all the other times she's worn that style. Maybe these pale Madden mules and Magrit clutch are a bit light against such a bold pink -- at least I still love the colour! But I appreciate that Letizia is doing what she can to upgrade a re-wear. She looks lovely, and really I have no business criticising. Time for my nap!!

Bertie, I also thought the bodice was too tight on Letizia. And if you look back at pictures from last year, it looked even tighter. Either they altered it or Letizia lost weight because this time around it looks a bit looser (although still a bit tight).

I'm happy to see this beautiful dress again. It's perfect in every respect- the classic style, the brilliant pink colour, the design of miniature buttons down the center of the bodice. These elements all combine to create a great outfit. One small complaint (and I agree with Jennifer) is the plastic mules. I just don't like the look but I do like the blush pink colour. I never thought of using different shades of the same colour (light pink/dark pink) in combination. That's something I am going to try myself..

Hi Sandy, I am sure that you will be really successful in wearing one colour in different tones, it can have a very elegant effect. I often think of the Queen's beautiful Felipe Varela ensemble worn on multiple occasions made in the light and dark red. The one colour in two shades was so striking.

Oh, you're referring to the Varela coat/dress ensemble with a lighter red coat and a darker burgundy dress underneath. That is one of my all time favorite Letizia outfits and highlights how a two tone colour in one outfit can work beautifully together. Thanks for tip Jennifer!

A beautiful dress, very pretty colour. The Queen looks lovely. Shoes, jury is out on that one. Love the colour of bag. Earrings are gorgeous, a wonderful choice.

Such a pleasure to see this item from the New Orleans suitcase again. It's vibrant and a perfect fit. The suggestions for other complements to the look are fair but I respect a girl's instinct to buy a shoe simply for the look and worry about the practicality later.. I am always amazed at her ability to strut her stuff on cobblestones like a boss in those things. Keep on unpacking that NO suitcase RL!...Congratulations to the winners, and continued encouragement to RL to support her causes..

Adore this dress and she looks divine. Hate the shoes with an absolute passion, but I love the contrasting pink tones.
