Lovely dress. One of my favorites. I'm happy to see it again although I wonder if it would look better with a regular hemline rather than the asymmetrical one.

This is a super summery dress and ideal for getting things into the holiday mood for Spain. I liked it the first time we saw it and welcome its return. It's an example of a High Street pick that works, comfy with its fashionable shirred elastic waist and edgy with asymetric hem which works well with fabric that hangs so well. The colour is great on Letizia and the pattern which manages floral/botanical without going overboard fussy.

My bad, not your run-of-the-mill bargain High Street, but a very respectable label. Which better explains the wonder of the print.

This is one of my least favourite asymmetrical hemline pieces of the Queens. However, within the context of being in such close proximity to the beach and hotel pool, it works brilliantly, the floaty layers remind me of luxury beachwear. The colour is fabulous against her dark hair and tanned skin with sporadic splashes of violet and scarlet adding interest. Maje's design is strongest when Letizia is in motion (like the 2019 photograph above) or seated with the fabric flowing elegantly around her. Sadly, when stationary the dress offers very little shape or definition.

I loved this dress last year and I love it still! The shoes for today are appropriate for the more casual event.

This is a lovely dress. The colours are gorgeous, so appropriate for summer. The pictures at the beach, the Queen blends right in, clever choice. I am not a fan of asymmetrical hems, but I have to admire how good this dress looks on the Queen.

This bright and airy dress is a good choice for the heat, and humidity of the summer. When it was first worn for an indoor event, it hung perfectly and showed the asymmetrical hem at its best. With the wind at the beach, it blows everywhere and gives a more jagged profile. When seated it looks softer and more elegant.
