After today's tour of the fire-ravaged areas in Tenerife, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended an institutional event to honor the professionals and volunteers who have been involved in various firefighting efforts since the forest fire ignited in mid-August.

I really like this two piece outfit, especially the draping of the neckline and the irregular hem. I also prefer it without a belt. I find the gold shoes somewhat puzzling and I would have preferred navy suede shoes to go with the purse. Letizia's earrings are stunning and her hair is beautiful. I know that wearing hose is considered old fashioned, but at least they would smooth out all the sinews and veins in the feet.

The top and skirt work in well. I love the Navy color. The draping neckline adding interest. The shoes are gorgeous, though I don't like the gold color. Her Navy clutch is perfect. She looks well groomed. The earrings are pretty.

Letizia brings all her natural class to bear on this neatly devised pair of drape separates from Galcon Studio and they continue to be most effective. I see she has yet to attach a belt to the skirt which is unfortunate as the waistline seems to droop some on its own, but I find the overall impression still most effective, chic, and sober for meeting the Tenerife firefighters.

She is right to wear non-matching separates with the sleek navy Magrit clutch blending with the main outfit, and the spark of enlivening contrast from the gold Magrit slingbacks. That contrast is perfected by the Pertegaz Crystal Hoops.
