King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain traveled to Tenerife, Canary Islands on Friday for back-to-back engagements in the port city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

They first presided over the award ceremony of the 2021 Gold Medals for Merit in Fine Arts at the TEA Tenerife Space for the Arts. The Gold Medals recognizes the people and entities that have excelled in the field of artistic and cultural creation or have provided notable services in the promotion, development or dissemination of art and culture or in the conservation of artistic heritage.
Later, Their Majesties received in audience a representation of the Activez Association, whose vocation is to be an Active Voice of and for Functional Diversity.
