Oh my, this dress has far too much going on...the very large, 3-D appliqué flowers, the flowing sleeves gathered in a cuff and a huge pussy bow. The bow is definitely the worst part, especially partially covered by hair. While the bubble gum shoes and purse pick up the same colour in the dress, I think they are over the top. When the Queen wore this dress with black shoes they helped to tone down all the razzle dazzle.

I think if you removed all the "razzle dazzle" the dress would look quite beautiful. If you can see through all that stuff that is stuck on, the basic design is really lovely. Pertegaz was a little too creative with this one.

Actually I think this dress is a piece of art of the Spanish style that sometimes remembers of the Japanesse one and the flowers in spring.

I agree with Laura…this dress is a huge miss for me. Too busy, too much, too many big flowers. Take off all the flowers, and just leave the plain dress with the sleeve and bow and I think it would look much better. With all that’s going on, it loses the uniqueness of the dress underneath all the flowers. Hopefully we’ll see this dress without all the dazzle, and just the dress.

I agree with you, Laura! Just too much going on. The appliques don't enhance at all. It's a nice cut and shape, but the overall look doesn't work. I'm not keen on the pink shoes and clutch either.

I have to agree with Laura. This is a very busy dress. I do like the pink accessories, but they are another feature that distracts the eye. Leti looks better in tailored pieces.

I think this Pertegaz dress works well enough for a formal meet-up in a palace setting, but I can't say I like it very much. The basic idea of orange pattern on a soft grey, with black highlights, is edgy and fun, where it begins on the skirt, but my problem is the embroidery seems in danger of overwhelming the wearer by the time it reaches the neckline.

This is a outstanding garment, beautifully crafted. The actual dress itself is divine, the length, fit and cut of the dress, the gathered shoulder lines, gorgeous flowing sleeves finishing off with the cuffs. The bodice sits beautifully. Saw a photo of the back view somewhere, equally impressive.

I think this dress is a work of art and should be taken in that context. It's not my personal favorite but I can appreciate it and respect that the design has a connection to Spanish style & culture
