Queen Letizia brings back red Hugo Boss separates for meeting with Spanish scientists

The King and Queen of Spain chaired the meeting "Meeting Science. Spanish Research in the XXI Century" (Encuentro con la Ciencia: La investigación española en el Siglo XXI) at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in Madrid.

Their Majesties greeted senior and young scientists selected by the Spanish Science Ministry to attend the meeting.

Queen Letizia brought back an outfit she debuted at the meeting of Fundéu BBVA in January.

The pieces consist of the dark red Hugo Boss 'Frankie' cuff detail wool sweater and the Hugo Boss 'Trima' cropped wide-leg trousers.

She again opted to accessorize the ensemble with her black Hugo Boss 'Fanila' clutch, and custom Magrit pointy-toe pumps.

Unfortunately I could not find any close up shots of Letizia's earrings.

The Queen looks great in red. I appreciate the little details here, the silver buttons on the sleeves and the rivets on the waist belt - the wide leg trousers are balanced nicely with the fitted knit. A considered choice to wear repeats the week before the visit to Argentina in-case anything new is debuted (I hope it is - I'm very excited!) Minor quibble, I don't like this bag it's a little on the large side for a clutch and reminds me of a folder, I would have preferred something smaller or a handbag. I believe the Chanel Comete earrings are worn - a great choice, reflecting the simplicity of the ensemble.

Actually, it is a folder, not a bag, she carries documents, it was a working meeting with scientists according to Casa Real.
It is not very pretty but useful, as it seems.

Oh dear, I missed a whole post! But I'm not a great fan of these wide-leg cut-offs, semi--culotte styles, so maybe I'd be better keeping quiet. Letizia can wear most anything well, and she can certainly carry off this one with aplomb, she looks immaculate and professional as ever. Red suits her well, and black accessories are definitely good with such a strong colour tone. I like the matched detailing of four gold buttons on cuffs and waist.

What a great outfit. Love the color and the culotte pants. I wish I could wear that style. She always looks so professional and put together without spending a ton of money.
