King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended the prestigious 'Miguel de Cervantes' 2022 Award Ceremony on Monday.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia attended the 'Miguel de Cervantes' 2022 Award Ceremony on 24th April 2023.

The annual event is held at the University of Alcalá in the town of Alcalá de Henares - the birthplace of Spain's greatest writer, Miguel de Cervantes who is best known for his masterpiece, Don Quixote.

The award is one of the richest literary prizes in the world and is the most regarded in Spain and Latin America. It honours the lifetime achievement of an eminent writer in the Spanish language. This year, Their Majesties presented the "Miguel de Cervantes" Prize to Venezuelan poet, Rafael Cadenas.

Letizia is wearing a very frothy, spring like dress. I like it, but wish the sleeves didn't have the slits. In the photo where she is shaking hands with the poet, the arm hole looks awkward. I do appreciate the way the collar extends into a drape at the shoulders. The earrings are a perfect compliment to the soft green of the dress.

This is such an elegant and charming dress and just perfect for the Cervantes Award Ceremony. The Vogana Nanda soft sage colour is very low key and flattering, and is enhanced by the delicate polka dot pattern.

The cross-over neckline is subtle and interesting in how the fabric evolves naturally into the sleeves with their fascinating slit feature. Deep cuffs echo the high neck and the overall effect is nicely coordinated. The trusty Herrera nude slingbacks work well and the Pepe Alba earrings are a delightful match with the green and off-white of the dress print.

This is a beautiful dress, the features of this dress adding interest. The only thing I don't like are the slits in the sleeves otherwise a beautiful presentation. Its fabulous to see the nude color shoes with this dress, I love them.
