The Queen of Spain presided over the award ceremony of the 5th edition of "Discapnet Awards for Accessible Technologies" on Friday at the Madrid Auditorium El Beatriz.

Queen Letizia stepped out in the Sandro Paris All-Over Print Long Silk Dress which she debuted last month at Santander's XI Social Projects Awards.
She again teamed the patterned dress with her custum blue Magrit 'Hawa' clutch and coordinating pumps.
Today Letizia opted for a navy skinny belt today instead of the white Felipe Varela belt she wore on the first occasion she wore the frock.
It appears she wore the gold-plated hoops from her Coolook 'Rain' collection earrings.
And of course there was the Karen Hallam gold-plated sterling silver signature ring.

I don't like this Sandro dress (as mentioned in a previous post) it was last worn in May so I may be biased in thinking that it was too soon to repeat. Positives, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the thin navy belt works. I thought that a dark belt might weigh the look down with such a busy print but it highlights the straps on the shoes and the smooth frame of the clutch elegantly. I love the simplicity of the small Coolook hoops they complement the gold Karen Hallam ring. Letizia's hair looks wonderful, so healthy and full of body a side parting is very flattering on her. I may dislike this dress but the Queen looks very polished and perfectly attired for the event.

I agree, the dress was just worn 1 month ago. It is too soon to repeat it especially since it's such an outrageous print and very memorable. And, I also noticed Letizia's hair looks great here with the side part. She should stick to that style instead of experimenting with ones that are messy & unflattering.

And here was me thinking she repeated the dress so soon because it's lovely on her, it's comfy, and the pattern is amazing! :)

But she has hundreds of lovely clothes from years past that never or rarely get repeated. Why this one so soon?

I liked it the first time and I like it now! Busy, yes, but I think she wears it well and I find the navy belt more grounding than the white one so this second wear is even better than the first. This patterned fabric looks elegant and expensive. Again, as in her recent visit to the UK, I like the covered-up-ness that some might consider old-fashioned. I think it's cool ;-) As I typically don't like her choice of footwear, it's worth mentioning that I love these shoes.

The dress is not my favourite, floral can be so tricky, but the earrings are awesome.

In Spain the wedding ring is only the infinity ring worn on the right hand. The engagement ring is a foreigner thing, I have not that ring. In Spain the tradition is a bracelet to the bride who gifts a watch to the groom, at a familiar gather. Those things about rings must be in other countries, his sisters did not do that, Felipe wanted to be a bit more......I can't find the word.......from a film.....or so.....Also as the infinity ring is worn on the right hand and she has to shake thousands of hand, there are even photos where she needed to remove the rings, many proffesionals find it annoying.

Because you call the "wedding ring"= "engagement ring" and in Spain most people do not have it or when they have it they do not wear them. Here the wedding ring are gift from someone to the bride and groom, not something the groom gifts.....also worn on the right hand

Mara and Wendy. Thank you for the explanation about rings. We all just assumed that Spain did it our way. Different customs, different traditions and different cultures makes us unique.

Yes, in my home country it is also completely different. People there simply exchange wedding bands during the ceremony and that's it. And a lot of people simply stop wearing them after a while ( they lose them, or rings become too small, etc.) Only in the last few years maybe, younger people buy engagement rings, I would say under the influence of movies, or TV shows, but those are simple white gold or silver rings, nothing with diamonds. It's mostly symbolic.

She was surrounded by blind people so the act was a bit serious and fashion apart, IMHO.

I continue to love this Sandro Paris dress, the print is amazing and works so well with its vivid contrast of flashes of orange against the ornate blue on white. It's nicely cut too, and hangs well, which for me compensates for all the extra fullness we're not so used to seeing on Letizia via gathered neck, full blouse sleeves and full skirt. The accessories are spot on, dark blue giving a necessary frame to the fluidity, and I especially like the switch-up from white to dark belt, which works much better

Bertie, I agree with all you say. I too like the dress, especially the pretty and somewhat exotic print. I think the shoes and clutch are perfect. The earrings are perfect too.

The dress is nice enough, but I am a silk girl so that is always a win for me. I absolutely love her shoes, gorgeous, earrings beautiful
