Queen Letizia brings back slinky black slip dress for Solo de Ciencia

On Friday, Queen Letizia attended the national final of the scientific monologue competition "Solo de Ciencia," which was organized by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology and took place at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

This event marked the first Ibero-American contest of scientific monologues, with participation from eight finalists.

The contest aims to engage and train researchers in scientific dissemination right from the early stages of their professional careers. Furthermore, it provides an opportunity to highlight the use of Spanish as a language for scientific communication, employing an innovative, entertaining, and accessible format for the general public.

This is a very streamlined and lustrous look. She looks stunning. The Satin slip Midi dress suits her perfectly. It definitely highlights her attributes. The large silver hooped earrings look good, but the clutch in Black satin is gorgeous, love this!

This long, unadorned, black dress certainly gives an elegant look. Those wearing shorter dresses look somewhat juvenile compared to Letizia. I don't care for shoes that have plastic anywhere. The earrings make a statement, but given the plain look, larger, chandelier earrings could also have been worn.

The satin slip dress from & Other Stories makes for an accessible evening dress when meeting young people starting out on their careers. The cut and finish don't look to be of the quality needed for a formal palace occasion, but it seems to fit in well here. I think Letizia wears it very well with her slender figure. The little Tod's Marlene clutch is very sweet but perhaps a little fussy against the sleek slip. The Blahnik heels and sparkly hoops are spot on.

Queen Letizia once again demonstrates her mastery of dressing. The black slip is a classic example of how to dress with understated elegance. The addition of sparkly hoops and Manolo Blahnik pumps adds a touch of glamour, without overdoing it. 10/10
