The Queen of Spain presided over the inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the Instituto Cervantes in Dakar, Senegal which aims to strengthen ties and increase the influence of the Spanish language and culture throughout the African subcontinent.

The Instituto Cervantes is the public institution created by Spain in 1991 to universally promote the teaching, study and use of Spanish and to contribute to the dissemination of Hispanic cultures abroad. It is named after Miguel de Cervantes (1547–1616), who is considered the most important figure in the history of Spanish literature.  The organisation is present in 88 cities in 45 countries, through its centres, classrooms and extensions, on the five continents. In addition, it has two offices in Spain, the headquarters in Madrid and the headquarters in Alcalá de Henares.

After the initial greetings, the Queen attended the welcome ceremony which included musical performances, interventions and a discussion on the presence and growing interest in Spanish in Senegal. Her Majesty then toured the facilities of the new centre, visited the exhibition 'ILUSTRAD/AS' which brings together illustrations by leading national and international creators, and saw the library. Concluding, Queen Letizia signed the Book of Honor, revealed a commemorative plaque of the inauguration and had a brief meeting with the Hispano-American ambassadors, Hispanists and representatives of the Spanish colony attending the event.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by a lunch at the Presidential Palace in Senegal, offered by President Macky Sall, and First Lady Marie Faye Sall, in Her Majesties honour.

A sunny dress for a sunny location, the Adolfo Dominguez coral certainly helps Letizia stand out. It's a charming feminine print and the soft fabric helps the full bracelet sleeves hang easily and the tie belt wrap neatly and firmly at the Queen's waist.

The floaty feminine vibe is spoiled however by the way the back hem appears to hang down in the photo we have. The pale pink of the Lodi pumps seems to make them a touch clunky, despite the tone chiming with the dress print pattern. The Gold & Roses double dagger earrings are as reliable as ever and Letizia looks well with her hair held back..

This is a soft, very pretty feminine dress. Love the beautiful array of colours, the gorgeous soft flow of the sleeves. As Bertie rightly mentioned the dip in the back of the dress, not so on the model. Not so sure about the shoes this time.
