There may be pink in the print but the bag doesn't harmonize with the dress. Despite the bright pops of colour, this is a dark deep print and I think it needs dark deep accessories. The black shoes look great. A black bag would've worked. The centre of the dress also has a bronze/brown that I'd be curious to see in a shoe/bag combo for a lighter touch.

I agree with everything that you say, Genevieve. The shocking pink purse is all wrong with this print.

I love this tidy shirt dress. Bubblegum pink handbag a bit of a contrast to the slightly sombre colours of the dress but does pick out the pink. Kitten heels lovely, such a comfortable height but still enlongating the leg. Had forgotten how much I disliked last year's frock

This dress is wild and conservative at the same time. I think I love it.
It's so unusual and different. High marks go to the designer for creativity especially for the fabric. The bold colours all blend together to create a dramatic impression that make Letizia stand out in the crowd. The choice of fuschia handbag was perfect.

Well, the '70s vibe is coming across to me clear and strong. Unfortunately I'm so antique I went through it the first time round and swore never to return. I can say I do like the colourful print very much, the clashing oranges, pinks and blues are very striking, and I like the shirt top of the Ocean dress, though I have shrunk from those awful deep collars since then.

Where i really come unstuck is in the tiered ruffles, which, 50 years (that many?!) later, just feel dated to me. They probably won't seem like that to a current fashionista of course, for whom they have the novelty I myself once enjoyed in wearing them.

I applaud the bubblegum pink Herrera bag with the outfit, helping Letizia stand out as strongly as she needs to for handing out Red Cross gold medals. I'm glad she has opted for the relative comfort of kitten heels from Massimo Dutti, though I think they may be a little overwhelmed by the length and fullness of the skirt. Overall, though, I think it counts as a successful outfit.

Bertie, the tiered ruffles are totally Spanish, you only need to Google "dresses from Andalucía" and ruffles and polka dots are all around.

I still reserve the right to be tired of tiered skirts

While I don't like tiered ruffles, this dress is splendid.
This shirt dress looks great, fits well and the fabric design is fabulous.
The CH Fushia pink bag looks wonderful. It indeed draws out the flecks of pink within the dress. The black shoes, perfect choice.
Great to see the double dagger earrings again.
