The tie-belt Herrera coat looks effortlessly chic the way Letizia wears it and is well-matched by the new Magrit kitten-heel pumps. The darker tan of the CH saddle bag is also excellent against the coat.

I'm not so sure about the Adolfo Dominguez dress. The colour looks well enough as a contrast stripe when the coat is closed, but I'm not sure it suits Letizia very well. Its subdued tone remains appropriate for a business meeting, but the whole design seems a bit vague. Letizia has tried wearing it several ways, this is the first time with the sleeves full-length where they seem too long. The front wrap edge falls awkwardly in my view, and the hanging sash adds to a sense of undirected untidiness.

The gold ribbon and diamond earrings are very pretty but delicate and a bit lost in loose hair. I think Letizia needs something of more statement to really pull things together. Overall, though, a very acceptable working look from the Queen.

I agree, the dress can be a bit difficult to style. The fabric looks thin and flimsy therefore a bit messy. It seems more of a Spring/Summer look rather than winter. But, of course Spain is quite warm this time of year.

@ Sandy, I do not know what is "warm" for you, there is the same temperature in Madrid as in London of Paris, about 4C degress in the morning to 12 in the afternoon..

In Rome, Athens, Marseille, and all the Mediterranean Europe they have almost 17C....the only countries very cold are Finland, Sweden and Norway..

You only need to see Madame Macrome in Sweden, elegant women are dropped off and no need to go with lots of clothes..only poor people that need to walk....

Lolita, all those places you described are very warm for me. I am in Canada. Some places here are -30 degrees celsius in the winter. That is below zero. Sometimes even colder.

There is something about this dress, I don't like, yet I'm really not sure what it is. Maybe the design of the dress, it looks a bit strange to me. I definitely don't like the hanging piece of fabric, or whatever that is. The coat looks lovely as do the bag and shoes.
