The King and Queen of Spain hosted the annual Balearic Islands reception this evening at Marivent Palace in Palma, Mallorca.

Their Majesties were joined by King Felipe's mother, Queen Sofia.

Queen Letizia looked resplendent in an off-the-shoulder maxi dress by Ibicencan-based designer, Charo Ruiz.

She wore the brand's 'Aryana' Long Dress in the terracotta barbary print.

She coordinated the vibrant dress with a pair of Calzados Picon 'Letizia' espadrille wedges in orange.

Perfection from tip to toe! This dress is exactly what I would wear if I ever got the chance to visit the Balearic Islands. I would love to visit for the fashion alone! The ensemble is 10/10 and Queen Letizia even has the perfect summer glow!

I really like the style of this dress. The off the shoulder look is very summery and romantic. The ruffled tier at the bottom seems to be a fashionable trend this season. But, I'm not a fan of the wild yellow, green and orange print. It's too overpowering & busy.

Brava! The color and style of the dress are perfection. I was disappointed by the dull black dress at the film fest recently, but this is marvelous. I like a little color and pizzazz!

Such a fabulous outfit for Letizia, she really nailed boho chic with Charo Ruiz. So often she wears floppy florals which fail to really chime with her, but this one is pitch perfect.

I'm surprised at how well she looks in a near-orange tone which can drain colour from some wearers, though perhaps being a terracotta shade helps it look better. The bright combination with shell motifs in greens and yellows is most summery and she carries the off-shoulder Aryana style with complete Mediterranean glamour.

The eponymous Calzados Picon espadrilles are perfect under the flowing, gently uneven, lace-trimmed hem. The shirring on top and sleeves is exquisite, the tiny self-buttons down the skirt front delightful. And I just love her Isabel Guarch Mallorcan gold earrings, especially with hair up. A tremendous look for Letizia and a fitting compliment to the islands' reception.

I'm also very happy to learn a grand new word 'Ibecencan' and am only waiting for a chance to drop it into conversation ;)

This is a very romantic look and I do like the print and colours used in the dress. The off the shoulder style is very summery. The earrings are so beautiful. I do think the shoes spoil the look, as they are so heavy. A strappy sandal in orange would have been outstanding.

This is a glorious dress. The off the shoulder looks fabulous, chic and summery. This dress has some very interesting features, more pronounced up close, which I can appreciate in these photos. The shoes work in well. The gold earrings are unusual and stunning. A delightful appearance.
